AH-64D Apache targeting Not working

I have a domi mission that I play on that the Player can get in the apache as a pilot and switch to manual fire and target and hit without any problems.

NO AI involved.

I have been converting, with some help a domi mission for lingor and I cant seem to get the apache to work correctly.

The red boxes show. But when I fire, the hellfire doesnt change paths to hit the target. It just goes straight.

this also holds true for the cobra.

HOWEVER. When I have an AI with me in the gunner seat. You can target and hit targets correctly.

Anyone have any ideas what might be happening?

I came across this too. It seems if you are in manual fire with no AI copilot, if you have aimed okay, sometimes it will fire the Hellfire to the targeted armor. Sometimes it will just fire downtown for no reason too. I can't seem to get a beat on it.

I looked in the Game Options before you go to MP and I tried to tweak the Auto Spot and Auto Aim options for Recruit and Regular. I turned them all on and then all off and this also did not help.

I can't see rhyme or reason to it.

Try to use the tophe's TA2DST tool and turn on the options there. Maybe it acts differently if it is DS and not hosted. Maybe we can figure this out.

ive experienced similar on domination.

Was flying and shooting manually, then land and other player gets in as gunner while still on manual fire and hellfires behaves as hydras, lock works but missiles just go straight.

ofc switched manual off but same problem

I think this is the problem:

when you enter a vehicle as PILOT it becomes clientside to your machine. however the turret (GUNNER) does not.

meaning that:

a) rearming only works when you get in as gunner then get in as pilot (this brings the turret to your clientside, enabling the rearming script to recognise the turret as your vehicle)

b) hellfires lock fine when you enter as PILOT but not as GUNNER and select manual fire

c) once you re-arm the chopper, or otherwise enter the GUNNER seat, the locking ability is lost for the PILOT.

d) At this point, only manually-aimed weapons are useable by the pilot, although any GUNNER entering the turret can still lock. It only affects PILOTS using turrets. It does not affect single-seater planes etc.

so, use your chopper carefully. play as pilot only and when you run out of hellfires, use your cannon and ffars and when all is empty run it into the ground, bail out or get an AI or fellow player as gunner.

After making several trips into the ao with a couple AI gunners. I decided to try it on my own again. Targeting worked correctly.

I just don't get it... Let me test again............. yup. worked fine again.

Its like its a cache thing.
