Fuel?

Recommended Posts

Is there unlimited fuel in Land Vechicals? Theres no guages to read, and I can drive for many hours a day and never run out of fuel. Also how come you can blow up a fuel station and a huge explosion occurs, but when you blow up a fuel truck, it just becomes crippled and smokes?

are you using the editor upgrade? this takes awy the thing in the top left hand corner sometimes, which would explain you not seeing the guage. Vehicles do have fuel but they have loads of it, as in real life. I thought the refuel trucks did explode-maybe you destroyed them but they hadnt blown up yet. There can be a time of ~10 seconds before it will if you have only "just" destroyed it

Ammo trucks produce a bigger explosion than fuel trucks...but I agree, fuel trucks should have a bigger bang.

I don't use the editor upgrade, but it still dosent show up. THe thingy I get in the left hand coroner is tfor tanks,a dnit shows their status, and their amount of ammo.

If you wanna find out if the vehicles can run out of fuel try:

this setfuel 0.0000001

If the vehicle is full on fuel you will have to be driving for over 5 hours if you want it to run out of gas.

Hmm, so what your saying is to set the geul really low to see what happens.

I think there's a fix for the guages not showing up if you use the editor addon. Head over to http://www.ofpec.com and look around for it. (too lazy to find it myself biggrin.gif )

It still wount show how much fuel you have in land vehicles. It will only make U able to see the tanks health status and how much ammo you have.

I noticed that too with not seeing a gauge in the upper left hand corner but it didnt bother me. You will never need to know how much gas you have, because in ofp the gas goes down very (and i stress very) slowly. Only time you can see it run out is by putting it all the way down when you insert a vechile.

Try it on choppers and see if you can live. Thats always fun. biggrin.gif

I was once fooling around multiplayer with one guy and decided to take tractor and run him over and suddenly it stopped right before I got him and wouldn't move forward anymore. Apparently it had run out of fuel.
