todayskiller 10 Posted November 13, 2010 Hello, I uninstalled and reinstalled arma 2 OA, but no matter what I try I keep getting these errors when I start up... No Entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgInGameUI/MPTable.shadow'. Error compiling pixel shader PSSpecularAlpha:0 Any way of fixing this? Thanks.

todayskiller 10 Posted November 13, 2010 I have the exact same error and I'm unable to even play combined ops... Yeah, I can play normal arma 2, just not OA. :(
krim 10 Posted November 13, 2010 Ok, I think I have found an annoying fix. Go to Documents and find your ARMA 2 other profiles Folder. Go into this folder. Make a copy of the profile you use and paste it some where safe like your desktop. Then delete the folder of the profile you use. Go ahead and open your game. It should start and you just make a new profile. Let me know if this worked for you.
Gunter Severloh 2546 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Guys do you read the forums at all?! do you see that there is already several posts discussing 1.55 issues? wouldn't it make more sense to reply to an existing topic, so we all dont clutter up the troubleshooting section of the forum, with 20 of the same type of posts!? http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=109932 http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=109928 resolved issues! http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=109893 http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=109907 http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=109927 http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=109927 http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=109857 http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=109875 §7) Search before posting If you have a question, please use the forum search function before posting to make sure that it hasn't been answered before. There is a big chance it has, not only does searching help to keep the forum free of multiple threads it will also help you to get an answer much quicker. Gunter Severloh 2546 Posted November 13, 2010 Its still a new post discussing 1.55 what did you want me to do? search, and post on an existing topic thats why i posted all those links, to give you as well as others the idea that there are already existing posts. and you dont need to quote me if your replying to a post that is right above yours. todayskiller 10 Posted November 14, 2010 God...Now I'm not suppose to quote?...w/e I'm done arguing with you. Anyone who reads this post, and has the same problem do Krims idea (unless you come up with a better way instead of uninstalling the folder)...But if you don't have another way use Krims, it fixes the problem. CarlGustaffa 3 Posted November 14, 2010 Who's arguing? Some forums I've seen have turned off the ability to quick quote due to misuse. Unless there is a reason to quote, don't. It only makes thread difficult to read (unless done right). Guidance to live by: Never quote images and videos. No wait, that's actually a rule. Never quote the guy above you, unless qft (or you need to have him quoted if his editing his post makes yours look funny). Use @membername if you want to address someone recent or close, that tends to be sufficient. It's all about a little bit of netiquette, and desire to avoid ending up on ignore lists. Lets just say some of us have a very low threshold for using that feature ;) Now, you've been around for a while, and with your post count I doubt you're a "quote spammer". I just wanted to mention how some of us feel about unnecessary quoting.
