Undercover Missions

I have been planning to make several scenarios involving Undercover Operatives disguised as locals like SFOD-D, DEVGRU and SAD in Afghanistan. So im open to suggestions...do you have any scenarios in mind? a cool mission you imagine a UC team undertaking? if so then let then let me know

That is possibly the best scenario i have ever heard of... a team of Ken spec-op troops (accessories included) on a mission to save barbies awesome

no seriously man anything apart from the usual hostage rescue...

As you can't destroy Opium plantations because it would destroy army-population relations (or at least I read it somewhere), turn an operative into a Taleban and make him one of the truck drivers. You must destroy all the opium you can before it gets traded so the Taleban doesn't get money :)

You could: hop in one of the escort trucks where the leader is making the trade and shoot everything up (hopping people back at the farm think you were attacked and the only survivor (ie. you got a bullet wound perhaps?) and assign you another task... Not so easy now (you must try another tactic: Murder the guy with the money behind closed doors or when noone sees him when he's walking by a cliff and you kill him with a silenced pistol...)

Just some suggestions!

that actually sounds pretty good Im thinking that a team is inserted a couple of miles from an opium trafficking point (they get vehicles coming in from all over and then redistribute it from there) then they have to neutralize the CP, disguise themselves as the taliban, ambush the incoming supply, replace the drivers and the crew and proceed to another drop-off point at the af-pak border to a larger opium depot to really cause some damage...thanks for the anti-opium ideas guys its something different from the run of the mill HR missions and blow-up-the-radar stations......the kind of scenarios im looking for is UC operatives staking out a large town and marking targets....making HVT snatches....meeting informants and then infiltrating guerilla groups. real intel ops

How about murdering someone (an 8 of Hearts, for example) while disguised as another guerilla faction - I mean, pretend you were trying to sneak and silently kill but you get discovered. You run away (?) but they think the other guerilla tribe killed their leader, so then the attack happens?

And then you call-in tactical strikes when both guerilla groups meet for a face-off, safely away from the civilians in their tribes/cities?

And the opium idea - kill and disguise and everything - sounds pretty awesome. If you need help beta-testing, gimme a bump (PM me). I would like to be more helpful, but I am not educated on scripts and stuff :) My own missions are pretty elementary, so... yeah. Also, if you need ideas (?) let me know as well, through PM or through this thread right here!

Will do..i am currently in the mission planning phase...the thing is my scripting abilities are on par with a 2 yr old :)

but once I can flesh out a mission and it's requirements I can probably ask some other forum members to help out with the coding bit...as of now I am able to disguise my UC guys but their cover is blown when they fire off a shot (thanks to the guys that provided me with the scripts)

Love the "botched" assassination idea!! blow up the wrong car....loud messy attack...clear evidence of rival faction (leave equipment like kalashnikovs...heck plant a dead body from the other faction..it could be a sub-mission! kidnap a guy/guys from faction A mount an attack on faction B leave dead body(ies) of guy from B. awesome!

Howabout.

Going through a populated Zargabad on an evening, with people in the street and cars going past about their daily business. Meeting an agent contact at a safe place and him giving you the coordinates to an insurgent safehouse, and telling you that around the corner there is a locked car with an AK47 and 4 magazines in the trunk. You retrieve your weapon and make your way to the insurgent safehouse on the outskirts of Zargabad as night falls, and just before complete sunset you raid the insurgent safehouse and seize some important documents, leaving for extraction by a friendly pickup car at a certain time and place.

That sound ok?

That sounds awesome. Sounds authentic, I dont know what an authentic spec op is but I guess that's would be pretty close. Im thinking if the mission could be divided into two parts.

The UC operators infiltrate the town in the evening and meet with their informant who informs them of a Mujj sympathiser. The UC operatives must locate and tail him to the main Mujj operating base within the village, while maintaining their cover then after nightfall sneak into the compound and plant IR beacons help direct missile strikes and then provide BDA. The main objective is to remain stealthy throughout.

I am also thinking of UC operators during the soviet invasion of afghanistan...you could be an undercover SAS or US army SF operator attached with a Mujjahideen unit to hamper soviet combat operations in an area.

Could you also help me out with scripting and the technicals of mission making as I am a complete and utter n00b when it comes to coding. Right now the only useful script I have is that I can make my guys remain undetected until they fire off a shot. But I might require futher help...

BTW

I checked out your Links and loved the Rise up and jack of clubs missions....downloading. Must say the mission design and descriptions are impressive

Goguapsy and I have come up with a scenario...give it a read and let me know your thoughts regarding the mission:

1.By stake out I mean establishing an OP around the village leader's place and tailing him.

After the UC have been inserted, they arrive and set themselves up 30 m direct LOS from the chief's place. After about 1 min after their arrival the chief leaves his place and moves toward his vehicle. This marks the beginning of Objective 1: there will be several vehicles of different make and near the chief's house, the chief will get into one of them. The operators have to mark and identify the leaders vehicle due to a large amount of vehicular traffic goin thru the village/town. eg: "green, SUV" they will then tail him in their own civ vehicles parked inside making sure they know where hes goin....they will then relay the leaders last heading and vehicle type to the other team members as the chief heads outta town via one of the 3 exits (the operator cannot follow any further cuz of risk of being spotted) the support team outside then tails the chiefs car in dirt-bikes from a kilometre and observe the chief stopping at a distant abandoned house. here they find him meeting the taliban. This validates that he is in contact with the terrorist. *the tailing part can be done quite easily using scripting

2. the second objective is to gain the villages support by confronting the chief. The player has 2 choices

(a) Tell the chief that they are FATU and here to help him and the village kick taliban ass...they will then rescue the chief's son held hostage by the taliban in exchange of aid. The chief will then give you complete information about the terrorist bases in the area (adding the base locations in your map). Note eliminating the terrorist cell while rescuing the chief's son will not get your cover blown as the taliban will think it was regular army SF who were involved, this will not lead to a an all out taliban assault but the chief's life will be in jeopardy (more on that later)

(b)You can "assassinate" the chief,while making it look like a Taliban attack, then approach the villagers for help by identifying urself as FATU(lol..we need a name!) the village says "hell, yes!" and gives you 10 of their best men to help you in taking out the taliban.

and you make a small raid on the abandoned house liquidating a 4 man terrorist cell. This will also lead to a Taliban attack on the village to show who's the boss. The "FATU" now have to help defend the village. Good old firefight!

I was just giving an example when I mentioned the kids being kidnapped..ofcourse we wont have kids! lol

So what are your opinions? really like to hear them

loved the ending idea! SF soldiers mounting a massive raid against the taliban with "hell's bell's" in the background!

FATU is a the fictional Anti Extremist group made by the UC operatives
