Before I would like to share the general idea with anyone interested, or would like to make a criticism. The plan is to have about three missions altogether, requiring only combined operations and being around 4-6 player coop (haven't decided).Before I begin creating the missions I want to get the story straight. The story is completely fictional and is set in the near future. Without revealing any "Spoilers", here is the background summary and introduction to my planned campaign.SummaryUS plans invasion on Iran to gain territorial control and oil resources. Stockpiles of nerve agents that were smuggled into Afghanistan during the Soviet-Afghan war era have been "re-discovered". There is no evidence of the importation of the encased chemicals, the US plans to re-brand and use these toxic substances against it's own troops to stage an Iranian chemical attack against its own troops. UK and Russian intelligence agencies work together, the US's undercover ambitions are soon revealed. UK and Russia conspire against the US and conduct an operation to prevent the invasion.Full Intro Story -------START------- The story described has not been confirmed with any publicly available information. The following story is considered to be fictional. ---- CHASE 13 ---- Between 1967 and 1968, the U.S. decided to dispose of obsolete chemical weapons in an operation called Operation CHASE, which stood for "cut holes and sink 'em." Several shiploads of chemical and conventional weapons were put aboard old Liberty ships and sunk at sea. CHASE 10 dumped 3,000 tons of United States Army nerve agent filled rockets encased in concrete vaults. Public awareness of operation CHASE 10 was increased by mass media reporting in 1969. Public controversy delayed CHASE 10 disposal until August 1970. ---- CHASE 10 was a lie to attain publicity and void the truths of the US government’s real activities, the concrete blocks encased nothing... ---- July 3, 1979, Almost ten years later... President Carter signs a presidential finding authorizing funding for anticommunist guerrillas in Afghanistan as a part of the Central Intelligence Agency program called Operation Cyclone, led by their elite Special Activities Division, which would later include the massive arming of Afghanistan's mujahideen. In 1981, following the election of US President Ronald Reagan, aid for the mujahideen through Zia's Pakistan significantly increased. ---- March 10, 1981, Soviet Russian submarine spots Liberty Ship faintly marked with 'CHASE 13' on the stern in the Arabian sea, heading for Pakistan. The ship was not sighted again. March 16, 1981, Russian intelligence receives reports of numerous counts cargo trucks entering Afghanistan across the Pakistani border. ---- Later throughout the Soviet-Afghan war, over 12 stashes of M55 rockets loaded with nerve agents. Luckily for the Soviets, the mujahideen were not able to acquire the right technologies to launch or extract the toxic chemicals without serious incidents. It was later learned that 'Tim Osman' (Osama Bin Laden) former CIA operative was in charge of the operation to use the nerve agents against the Soviets. ---- December 14, 2010, US special forces led by SAS soldiers raid a compound located 25km North of GardÄ“z in the province of PaktiÄ in Afghanistan. An underground storage facility is found containing mass amounts of M55 rockets loaded with toxic substances. ---- December 15, 2010, MI6 enquire the Russian SVR intelligence service as to their know-abouts of the M55 stockpiles in Afghanistan. Along the entail of exchanging information between both secret intelligence agencies, it becomes clear that the US are planning to use the Chemical weapons. ---- January 2, 2011, SVR become aware of US plans to audition a chemical attack on its own troops. MI6 intel of recent additional US troops and equipment sent to Afghanistan and build up of US forces around the coast and borders of Iran can only suggest a preparation for Invasion. It becomes clear to the agencies that the Chemical substances are to be extracted from the stockpiles and used to stage an attack by Iran on US’s own troops. The evidence of the attack will be used as propaganda to influence and justify an invasion of Iran. ---- UK and Russia begin to conduct secret operations, they believe it is in their best interests to dispose of the secret smuggled chemical weapons to avoid the beginning of any conflict in Iran. Russia secretly doesn't want NATO to discover its involvement in assisting Iran's nuclear defence programs. The UK does not want affiliation within a new war, or help start one which would lead on to cause a detrimental effect on the world. ---- A small team of Spetsnaz are inserted to destroy the previously smuggled soon-to-be-used chemical stockpiles by RAF helicopter to maintain as much secrecy of the operation as possible. These operatives are some of the most elite and dedicated units in the world. They understand the importance of their mission, if not killed and captured, they understand they must take their own lives to protect the confidentiality of the mission. -------END------- I currently have a general idea of what will happen during the missions and an ending, which will be a sad one. Bare in mind that the story is fictional and I did think it up whilst I was half asleep. So, I want criticisms... If you managed to bare to read through it or not....
