richard 10 Posted October 29, 2010 So, I was helping Martin with the MIG animations, but now I'm completely lost myself. Parts like exhaust, wheels, wheel doors, etc does not show up in Buldozer, though they show up in O2. They are not hidden or locked, not in editor, not in model.cfg Here's what I mean: It shows up in O2 But not in Buldozer:
akio 10 Posted October 29, 2010 Have you tried running without Buldozer selection in O2. In addition, when you start Buldozer, is what the missing part is present in the active LOD (O2)?
richard 10 Posted October 29, 2010 What do you mean Buldozer selection in O2? And yes, I'm not stupid like that to search for a part that is not in active LOD, if you meant that :) One thing I researched though, when I select Disable Model Config parts do show up, but they are not hidden in cfg... any suggestions? soul_assassin 1750 Posted October 29, 2010 its a bug, a very stupid and annoying bug to do with model.cfg and bulldozer. Been looking for a solution for this for a looong time myself.
richard 10 Posted October 29, 2010 So you're saying I need to check animations in game to see if it works?
namman2 0 Posted October 29, 2010 afaik that AB trail will be hidden inside the hull and when the rpm goes up it will slowly come out from the nozzle so just keep pressing "Enter" and when you get to rpm animation activate it using "["and"]" or it's just as S_A said a bug
richard 10 Posted October 29, 2010 Well, I found a solution... and it's as simple as it gets - in model.cfg parts using type "direct" are hidden, so I just changed type to "rotation" or "translation" and it works :)
soul_assassin 1750 Posted October 29, 2010 three things to note from me though: 1) I have plenty of cfg's with absolutely no "direct" type anims and it still happens. 2) Sometimes the effects completely random, with different parts dissapearing in different lods 3) Sometimes when only a part of a mesh is a bone, it gets spiked to origin. suhsjake 1 Posted October 30, 2010 I also have to say, the MiG-15 never had an afterburner either. So what exactly are you trying to replicate?
richard 10 Posted October 30, 2010 It's not afterburner, it's very very dim some kinda smoke. Wait till release and you'll see.
rksl-rock 1301 Posted November 8, 2010 The missing parts bug is down to the number of bones in the skeleton. I beleive its a DX imposed limit of about 120 bones. Its only present with buldozer so don't worry too much. If you need to check just comment out some of the working bones in the model.cfg and it will work properly.
