cdr 10 Posted October 25, 2010 (edited) Hi all, Having another little issue with my 190, namely the crosshair. You'll see in the above pic the cross hair lines up pretty much with the gun sight, which is great as that's where you'd expect the bullets to go. But as soon as you look up or down in the cockpit you get this; The cross hair is now off centre, and as there doesn't seem to be a snap for up and down (like there is if you look left or right), it makes it very difficult to get the cross hair back onto the gun sight. I've noticed this only seems to be a feature added in Arrowhead, because when I try the aircraft in vanilla Arma II, it seems to be 'locked' onto the gun sight (or where the default centre of view is). Is there anyway to prevent the cross hair moving with the pilots view (which is a bit of a silly feature in the first place), and having it lock to that initial position? Cheers for any help. roberthammer 582 Posted October 25, 2010 (edited) You need to add the parallax efect on HUD > http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1741523&postcount=74 Works in beta ,but you must add this line http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1745073&postcount=13 Edited October 25, 2010 by RobertHammer
[frl]myke 14 Posted October 25, 2010 @RH on the pics above this is the weapons crosshair and therefor not related to planes HUD in any way. @Cdr There is no way to prevent this behaviour. The weapons crosshair does correct any parallax effects caused by head movement so crosshair always shows accurately where your weapon will hit. Obviously your plane crosshair does not follow any head movement so you get the deviation between weapon and plane crosshair as seen in your screenshots. max power 21 Posted October 25, 2010 I think what RH is saying is that he should not rely on the cross-hairs now that we have a proper parallax hud system. The cross-hairs do not show where the weapons will always go. They show where it will go at some point in space, just like a parallax weapon sight.
