Individual precision

Recommended Posts

Quick question, how do you set a single soldiers precision?

I have searched but found nothing, I'm sure I have heard of something that does what I need, but I can't remember.

Also does setSkill change precision aswell? it isn't exactly what i'm looking for but it could sorta work.

Isn't this set with the sliding bar scale WITHIN the editor when you place a unit on the map?

You don't need to script it per solider (within the Init: field) do you? A simple sliding of the skill level bar should adjust all his settings (from precision, to endurance, etc, etc). Correct?

You can set global skill per unit by means of changing the slider, correct (afaik). But he was asking about accuracy, not everything. The general skill command is also still useful since you may need to change it for a unit as the mission runs, or for spawned units as well naturally.

Does anyone know if "setSkill" works in vanilla Arma 2? I see on the OFPEC website they say "not yet implemented"!

I've tried dumbing down the enemy in all respects but they still detect and ping me from unreal distances.

I think "not yet implemented" relates to Arma1. Iirc that's the first time the command made it's appearance. Try being a grunt in an AI led squad and set your leaders leading ability to zero and watch what happens.

So yes, it appears to be working. Does it work well? That's something else. I wish the skills had greater influence.
