Mod Insanity - Please help !!!

I would say 1:4 mods I install do not show in the editor drop down lists so I can not use them.

This totally pisses me off. Most mods don't even document where in the editor drop down to find them anyway. This should be a standard practice.

So with all of these useless mods what do I do - how do I figure out how to use them in the editor.

Mods that I cant find in the drop down (hence can't use) ...

Black ops & mercs

Etc etc - there are many more. I'm sure I'm not the only person with this problem and yes I do use mod folders & no I am not contacting the author of all the non findable mods - most reply with gibberish anyway.:eek:

Look into the readme.txt or *.docs or *.pdf files that ship with the mods.

What you're searching for are the classnames of units, vehicles, weapons and ammo types.

Or just ask around on the forums of the modsite.

As a last resort you can always dePBO a mission of that mod and open the mission.sqm with notepad to see what classnames were used.

Setup a new mission in the editor, place some normal units and save it. Afterwards you open your mission.sqm with notepad and replace the normal classnames with those of the modunits you want to use.
