I think this was one of their earlier concepts for the F-60.  Maybe they should have stuck to that ey ?

Wobble, horsepower isn't everything.  Those Venom series may pack tons of speed, but there are other factors that contribute to a sports car.  What load of G's can it withstand on cornering ?  How stable is it on turns at high speeds ?  I know Ferrari spent weeks if not months designing their 360 Modena inside the wind tunnel.  That car has one of the lowest drag coefficients in the world.

Any rice burning teen punk can load his Civic with nitro, fancy plastic rims and make it fast.  Ultimately, it's how the car performs on the track, for that's what makes it a great sports car.  Speed will only get you on a drag strip.

It looks like a homosexual batmobile. Bad show Ferarri. The F-50 was a much better looking machine. As far a performance goes, you get what you pay for. I would never want to own a Ferrari or a Viper. I would just get in trouble with it and the insurance would be x3 the cost of the car. I would be happy with a shiny SS Camero or a '69 Chevelle. Who needs race track performance on the street?

Maybe so, but I don't really desire to fly in an automobile. Plus there is no one for hundreds of miles that could work on it and they are not safe. Crash it and you are dead.

If you want something fast, affordable and FUN.. get a Nissan 240sx S-14, it comes with a 4 banger DOHC 2.4 L engine.. bet thats just not enough,

buy the car  ~$15000 (for a good 98)

first buy the turbo kit for ~$3800

then buy a new front bumper from bomex that will hold the intercooler properley ~$1500

youll end up with about a 20k car (all said and done) with around 300hp and yer insurance will be that of a small  4 banger sedan.. because we wont tell Mr Insurance rep what we did will we.. noooo..

its a great car to totally amaze and piss off mustangs and cameros with.. they be like "ohh, look the rice wats to race" and you hand their ass to them.. ahh, its great.

edit:

ad400.jpg

remove the big stupid sticker on the hood, and thats what they look like with the new front end.

Nope. The fastest production car is an F16 that keeps its gear down biggrin.gif

Not bad. That Nissan looks pretty good. 300 hp out of a 4 banger is nothing to spit at. I can't really afford to put 20 large into a car right now. Guess I'll just stick with the boring Toyota.

I can't be seen in a Jap car as I do have some dignity to maintain you know. Plus it reminds me of a time when I was waiting on a red light, and a pink rice burner pulls up next to me. He seemed to stare at me and the silver A6 I was driving at the time, so I managed to ask "What's that you got under the hood ? A four cylinder V-6 ?". To no-one's surprise he said "Uhmm yea, that's what I gotz".

I think I'll wait a few more years and finance a nice blue Carrera.

LOL! some people sure are stupid.. that "jap car" could stomp pretty much anything you would ever encounter, and it would last 200k if you just kept up with normal mantennce.. and the average joe could buy one.. its pretty much everything a sports car type person could want.. speed, style and affordability.. but if you dont like it because its :jap" thats your own little racist problem..

Ive got notheing against domestice.. but dollar for dollar turbo imports are always faster..

I think I'll wait a few more years and finance a nice blue Carrera.

lol.. carreras come in 4 cylinder and V-6.. lol, better not buy one

as I do have some dignity to maintain you know

and just what power microscope would we need to find this?

The only thing that pissed me off when those cars pulled up to me when I was in my 81 T.A. was that damn rap music that came out of it...The bass just sounds like totall shit. Plus those type of people just always go out of there way to look pissed off all the time.  Oh no, hardass. Sadly it was never louder than my beast.

Plus cars like those spawned gay movies like The Fast And The Furious..one of the worst movies

here are some of the highlights:

-Terrible acting

-A Toyota duels a Ferrari (laugh)

-And the only badass car in the movie (Charger) gets hit by a semi

"I need more nos dude" biggrin.gif

Better start saving now.

What I would really be happy with is a big BMW sedan. Like a 528i.

A Toyota duels a Ferrari (laugh)

a supra.. yea it probably could beat a ferrari with a few MINOR mods.. there is a few running around in Austin with 600hp and one with around 900.. theve made a few videos with it.. spinning tires in all 6 gears.. etc etc..

and I doubt you would see the ghetto trash in a 240sx.. those types tend to gravitiate to the cheaper more available civics and other imports, the 240 is semi-rare compared to most other imports..

and I think tis funny when some "classic" stang pulls up with the lifter rear and giant tires, loud ass exhaust..etc etc.. and sounds totally like shit..

if yer gonna build up a classic, swap the fucking engine, dont try and ressurect that old school carborated trash.

but make sure you slap a GIANT hood scoop on it.. LOL

as for fast and the furious.. what spawned that BS is the rice boys.. thats total shit and NOTHING like a well done TASTEFUL 240.

giant muffler tips, outlandish paint jobs, HUGE wings (on front wheel drive no less LOL) lights under the car, wildley painted interiors.. HUGE guages.. and aside from that.. .TOTALLY STOCK.. an economy car that I could smoke in my truck.. THAT is what is truily pathetic..

the 240 ne above (minus the stickers) is jsut plain NICE, no overdone ground effects, no crazy paintjobs..etc etc.. just sleek and fast as all hell..

which is the point..it pulls up nxt to you and your in your cameri z28.. and then you spend the next few miles eating its "jap" shit.

Nah! Put a fuel injected LT1 'vette motor in it. Fuel injection is the way to go. I hate carbs, they are tempermental bastards.

no, you should ditch shitty carboretors all together and get fuel injection.. unless your just going for a look and not actual performance (domestic rice)

a 4.0L I-6 with fule injection puts down more torque and FAR more hp than a 4 barrel 350, and gets better milage..

and yes, a turbo charged 4 banger like the one on a 240sx would put down more hap than a 350 chevy any day.  you could *MABY* fuck and tweak a 350 chevy to 290hp without going FI.. but a Fi 4 banger running high boost can put down twice that...

hows that for funny.

the old muscle cars.. while being nice and all will never be able to really compete with high technology turbo charged engines in lighter more aerodynamic cars, they have more torque, more HP, and less weight..  and are more dependable to boot

a carborated 350.. even witha  4 barrel is a total joke compared to virtually any turbocharged import, much less a good one.

a good example is the viper itself.. even with its 10 cylinder 8.0 Litre engine.. without turbos or extreme tweaking it can only manage 400hp.. an SR20DET can produce up to 500 hp with ease.. its a 2.0L turbocharged 4 banger..(stock with T-28 turbo, but upgrade is easy)

using a Edelbrock Manifold & Holley 600cfm.

wow, 245hp! yay, a Nissan altima (family sedan) has a V6 that puts out 255hp.. STOCK.

the 240SX's engine with a stage one turbo upgrade puts 240hp AT THE WHEELS, which is more than 250 at the crank..

old school carborated and even Fi SOHC engines are just pathetic in comparison to DOHC and of course turbo/supercharged engines.. usually you get 1.4x as much with a DOHC and 2x or more (ALOT MORE) with a turbo per litre..  not to mention the obvious gas effincey that comes with a smaller displacment..

not to slam the 350, its a classic engine.. slap fuel injection on it and it will do *ok* but it will never compete with the hitech engines of today.. never..
