Version Mismatch and startup error ARMA2

Hey guy's,

A friend of mine has a problem with running his combined Operations.

He installed a clean Boxed version of ARMA2 and Arrowhead. Patched it up and try'd to run it it. OA standalone is working fine. ARMA2 standalone is also working fine. But when starting up COmbined Operations he gets the error:

addon "warfare2vehicles" requires addon "CAWheeled2_kamaz"

The game will still startup.

So when trying to fix this we checked wich version he had when running Combined Ops.

It say's its running version 1.54.72888. So i checked my own ARMA2 Combined Ops and i am running 1.54.72967.

So we redownloaded the OA patch and reinstalled it (the ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead Patch 1.54), but it still gave the same error. Are we missing a Patch?

Also some additional info. When he runs combined ops and he checks Expansions under main menu it say's its running CA,ARMA2, ARMA2 OA, ARMA2 OA BAF LITE.

Under my own expansions it doesn't have the Mod CA.

Please can somebody help us out cause he is so frustrated he wants to throw his discs away. And we can't loose a good player like that. :)

You guys are missing what the error is telling you:

addon "warfare2vehicles" requires addon "CAWheeled2_kamaz"

CA isn't a mod its the configuration file in the addons folder.

you guys are both trying to play warfare I take it, one of you hosting or is this a server you joined?

when starting up COmbined Operations he gets the error:

addon "warfare2vehicles" requires addon "CAWheeled2_kamaz"

when starting up the game or when joining the guy thats hosting?

Make sure you're both starting the game using the arma2oa.exe shortcut

But your post here belong in the Arma2 section troubleshooting, you in the Arma section.

Thansk for the answer. But i'm not sure i get it. He has this on any server that runs combined ops. And the error also pops up right away when he starts combined ops. We are both starting it the exact same way trough a ARMA Launcher. And even with a shortcut it gives the same error whe starting ARMA.

What i was asking is if one guy was hosting the game and the other was joining, but the one joining

didn't have the files of the one that is hosting, hence what your discussing a"mismatch"

Since you get it on any server that runs combined ops,

I believe you have to start your game with the Arma2OA.exe, and not Arma2.exe.

I dont think thats the problem... He is running a exact same setup as me. The solution you gave me i allready tought of. But that isn't the case. I checked everything 4 times.

And if it was a mismatch like you said than why does he gets 2 error messages when he starts up the game (not joining server). I had the same problem you just explained me... But it never gave me a error message at the start when i wanted to play the game. Only when trying to join a server.

Based on your first post error, look for these files:

addon "warfare2vehicles"

addon "CAWheeled2_kamaz"

in the main directory addons folder of Arma2, and CO/OA/BAF where ever they might be,

because your missing "Wheeled2_kamaz"

wheeled2 is in Arma2 addons folder but its not kamaz, so Id have to assume OA?

dont know. But your missing that file, it could be that its not actually missing,

it could be that your starting up the game where you OA is not being read or something.

I wish BIS would have left these expansions alone like in OFP where each new expansion

adds to the game versus mix and match and integrate, this shit even confuses me.

Start with Arma2 then go combined, I dont have CO , nor OA, or BAF,

would make more sense to have someone reply that does then they could better tell you then I,

but what I said is the general Idea, your missing a file.
