multiple monitors

Recommended Posts

Ok, it's my understanding that one of the features of arrowhead is multiple monitor support, in that specifically i can set the map up on my second monitor (which would be obviously infinitely useful whilst flying a helo etc)

My question is, if I own both ArmaII and arrowhead, can I play the ARMAII campaign using this mechanic?

if i'm not totaly wrong ( though, i could be ) arma2, and arrowhead, supports tripplehead2go, witch means you'd need 2 monitors ( and hardware ), but there are a software version from kegetys ( i think) , though, you'd still would need 3 monitors ( unless you want to have the midscreen placed between the 2 monitors ), and the software version would give you a bit more of an hit on the fps

though, i could be way of ;)

I think you're missing what I'm talking about here... I'm talking about having my one main monitor as it always has been, and have the Map shown, on it's own, on the second monitor...

It is NOT possible

is it possible to have an offset-centre multiple monitor setup?

Is it also possible to have a mini map rather than a full sized map displayed?

only minimap ( without mod) that is awailible, would be the gps ;)

@ op : sorry, somehow, i missed the part about displaying the map on the second screen.

As stated abowe, it's not possible. ( and probably would be considered by someone as cheating )

What you, on the other hand can do, is to put up one of the map's that are out there as picture files, as the background picture on the second monitor.

Used to have it for arma, and then on chernarus.

Now i got a printed one for reference ( ty BIS, it's sweet! ) when doing ops without gps, or i need to have it nearby when flying.

The TripleHead2Go - three monitor - setup is possible as seen above but not familiar with a way to export a working, or active map to another display other than using the above mentioned option of simply opening up a static image file of the map onto another monitor. I too wish that were the case with the active map feature you asked about as I'd gladly sort out a way to include that extra monitor onto my desktop.

I miss read the information for arrowhead then, dangnit. As for the map idea, I've got a large map I got from PC format for Arma, and I printed off the map myself from the original flashpoint.

Discussion here you guys might have missed...

I'm afraid it's not possible, nor likely to be in the near future...

PS... triple monitors is possible without a TH2Go if you have 2 x 16x pci-e slots... see here... (its how I did the screenshots in my sig - apart from the OFP one... works just nicely with Arma2...)
