donkeykong 10 Posted September 9, 2010 Hi All, Great game, only problem is that I am crawling around in the hill after a long mission and none of the npc's around me can or are willing to heal me. What is the go here. I cannot continue the mission because of this. Is there something I am missing or will I have to restart the mission because healing doesn't work? Any ideas and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
Placebo 31 Posted September 9, 2010 I'm assuming you mean either ArmA2 or OA, please look before posting as this was in the wrong section, moving to General.
donkeykong 10 Posted September 9, 2010 OA is the only one I have played. Arma 1 and 2 were too buggy and I didnt persevere with them. So you moved my post but didn't answer my question.......
pipscouse 10 Posted September 9, 2010 OA is the only one I have played. Arma 1 and 2 were too buggy and I didnt persevere with them. So you moved my post but didn't answer my question....... They won't heal if there are enemies about and in danger mode. They often need to be ordered to heal someone. You might try tapping 5 then 4 (status injured). Alternatively, if you are squad leader (and if the mission will let you), use the T button and swith to the medic and heal your character then switch back to squad leader the same way. Gunter Severloh 4088 Posted September 9, 2010 Arma 1 and 2 were too buggy and I didnt persevere with them. Dude are you serious, OA isn't buggy? Thats why theres patches, addons and mods for the game. to answer your question though, like the previous poster said you have to command the Ai to heal you. If your leading a squad then make sure you have a corpseman in it (did I spell that right?) Are you building your own missions, or playing scenerios that come with the game? SPC.Spets 21 Posted September 9, 2010 The only NPC that can heal you is the medic
Psycho78 10 Posted September 9, 2010 Any soldier can stabilize you if you're bleeding. But only the medics (corpsmen) can heal you. As others have said, if you're in combat they aren't always quick about healing you. And then sometimes while you're getting shot at they will come in and try to heal you, getting shot in the process. I find it easiest to go to the map screen, hit the F-key that corresponds to the medic, and click on yourself. That will give them the command to heal you. You can also select the medic, and press 5 (or 6?), that will give you a list of appropriate commands for them, one of which should be to heal you or others. You might need to tell the medic Safe before doing any of those.
donkeykong 10 Posted September 10, 2010 Well, I meant to say that Arma 2 was buggy, but I kind of like OA. And about the medic, well I don't seem to have a medic on my team. I am in the Single Player campaign heading out to the fallen Hercules plane. Another problem I am facing is that one tank in the convoy wont follow and it keeps telling me mission failed as I strayed too far from the convoy? I have selected medic and the tank and what not but still no luck. It seems something is broken in the game...............

If I am not totally mistaken, there should be a medic car or tent at the FARP in that mission. And trucks to replenish ammo, repair,...
