  1. I should know that from Arma2, I'm just rusty.
  2. Yeah my next question is, can I turn off the IR or whatever it is and just use normal optics? ---------- Post added at 07:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:43 PM ---------- Oh yeah, that worked GREAT. I thought double-right-click did the same thing (optics) but it doesn't work for that. And you can use + and - on the numpad to zoom in and out, and PageUp PageDn to set the zeroing. Still haven't figured out how to toggle IR.
  3. When you steal the vehicle and enter the gunner seat for the grenade launcher, you are presented with a screen that I assume should be a camera to aim the launcher. But my screen is blank. Any clues what I need to do to see the screen image? ---------- Post added at 07:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:16 PM ---------- Hmm, I seem to have fixed the problem. I first changed the PIP to high in the graphics options. That didn't help. But then I Alt-tabbed out to type my forum post and went back, now the camera image works. Weird.

Yeah I would agree. Just a tiny little profile on the HUD would be great.
  5. -nobenchmark -winxp fixed the problem for me. Win7 32-bit, nVidia video card.
  6. They might be in the presence of enemy units and are still in Danger mode. In that case they move carefully and self-preservation outweighs your movement commands. Another game I've played has a Move Quickly command and that works a lot better. Tell them No Target, Safe, and set their formation for compact column (somebody correct me if I'm wrong on this.) That usually helps.
  7. I don't think there is an answer you can give them. They should phrase it differently. I usually just tell them to go to a specific spot on the map or in my immediate area when that happens, that will give them specific coordinates.
  8. A2 came out first of course. OA is a separate EXE and is generally where the development is happening these days. You can run OA and include the maps and unit resources of A2, when you run like that it's called Combined Operations. If you like to download mods and/or play multiplayer, get Combined Operations. That way you have everything you'd need. There may some good holiday sales coming up over the next month.
  9. If ACE2 is working you should know. It effects many many things in ARMA2. ACE2 should be mentioned in the startup messages (in fact aren't the loading screens different?), your on-screen HUD should be different, and on the Map screen ACE should have a menu entry.
  10. I was overclocking both before I got my 3GHz 3-core CPU. Now I'm running without overclock. Seems like it takes 3GHz to really run this game.
  11. Thanks, finally got that to work. I was getting an error message, but that was because I had okt_noblur enabled and OA doesn't like that.
  12. Technically speaking, OA is a different executable file. arma2oa.exe or arma2_oa.exe, one of those. When you installed OA it should have created a different entry for OA in your Start menu. You can tell you're running OA because the interface will be tan colored and the text is smoother than Arma2. Also, you can transfer your A2 controls to OA, follow instructions in this thread: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=1771930

One of the Arma2 patches did break Oden Warfare. but he fixed it. Look on his site for 1.05r.
  14. I have Combined Arms but have only played ARMA2. I'm a lazy SOB and getting my controls so I like them in ARMA2 was a long process. Is there a way to copy that config to OA, and would that be a wise thing to do?

Oden's Warfare. Be the commander if you just want to order people around. Has artillery.
