Welcome.

The way we can help you, and you help yourself is to look through the topics related to your problem,

I dont mean to be in your face about this but I'm just trying to bring you to the reality of how these

forums work, when you post a question without looking the response to it will be very low if any at all,

and or it will be locked as like I said there are many topics around discussing similer issues, which should

give you an idea how to post a topic if nothing is found, and it happens,

so please keep this in mind when posting.

If your game freezes, its not very much for us to go on, all i can say it could be that

your graphics card is not very good, or it could be something else. What we need from you is:

* your computer specs

* your operating system

* what is your target line setup (do you have mods installed?)

* what game do you have Arma2, and or OA(Operation Arrowhead)

* is your game patched

* Do you have fans running on your computer -means is your graphics card,

or cpu overheating?

* is your OS compatible

* does your graphics card have the latest drivers

* do you have enough ram - (again we need your specs)

without this information you will not go far with your question.

Thank you for your answer.

This is my computer's config :

- Graph card : Nvidia Geforce 8800GT

- CPU : Quad Core 2.41 GHZ

- 3.25 GB RAM DDR2

- Motherboard : ASUS P5K

- Windows XP service pack 3

No mods are installed, I patched my game but I didn't updated my graphics card.

I've got fans running on my pc of course so my cpu and my graphics card are not overheating.

I'll take a look through the forum.

Thank you again

hello again,

Your graphics card is low for this game, and would advise

upgrading to at least a 200 series.

In any case from the specs that you have the menu should

not be freezing, have you scanned for any viruses, spyware,

is you hard drive defragged, ect?

I have a buddy i will refer to this post as he on occasion posts on

these forums, he is a computer tech who would have

a better idea on your situation then I.

Hello again,

I thought my graphics card was good Because I saw on the rear of the box that arma II can works normally with this card. I don't understand.

Maybe should I download the latest driver of my card ?

Card is ok, I would definatley get the latest drivers, but i would look in

the future to upgrade for a better performing game.

Arma 2 and the like are CPU and Graphics demanding,

you CPU is good, but your card falls short just a bit.

How does the game play for you outside of MP,

like where are your settings at?

Maybe could I overclock my card a bit ?

The game works good with high quality in 1024*768.

Thank again for your answer !

GameSpy's MasterServer is down because of updates, so it does not show the server listings. Try connecting to a server via IP. If that doesn't work, then you do have a problem on your end.

its a patch problem that BIS sent out.

last patch messed up alot of stuff.

effects both OA and ARMAII.

Still no news as to a hotfix.

Until then its a single player game!

You can try the beta patches but it didnt do any good.

You can reinstall but it wont do any good specially if you have steam games.

(steam will update to the latest patch)

I tried all the above with no results.

I found a fix

well at least for me.

what I did was disable firewall/antivirus.

started armaII and selected multiplayer.

Now im able to get into the multiplayer menu without a freezeup.

Next you want to join any game in the multiplayer.

once joined back out of the game and reenable your firewall/antivirus.

you should now be able to join multiplayer.

(new patch comes up as a virus to some antivirus /firewall prgms)
