Public 0.92 beta version.

Mission description: As a combined NATO SF Team your job is to operate behind enemy lines in Takistan.

ArmAII-Combined Operations version 1.52

Needed Addons: None.

Known bugs: The Simple Support Module (airstrikes, supplies etc.) doesn't work at all on a dedicated server. The Ambient Civilians Module doesn't spawn anything on a dedi either as far as I know. I hope BIS will fix this, since these modules are otherwise a great addition to the game. I would recommend a hosted game in MP.

Time: Dawn in SP, varies in MP

Weather: Good.

Important: Read the briefing carefully.

Missionwork: My second mission in OA. I have tried to make it as varied as possible and the mission actually takes place over the whole map of Takistan. Tasks are extremely randomized and there are some fun functions for your vehicle. Don't expect constant action as you will travel a lot, but you are not really safe anywhere. I hope I have achieved some realistic feel, but mostly a good atmosphere. Custom sounds, dialogue and scripts.

absolutly terrific,challenging and entertaining mission

pure win right there

Played it twice with a m8 and the one life makes it very hard to get your whole team to extraction/exfil - to be honest,farest we got was 3 of 4 objs done,then i was the only one alive

A Mi24 decided to slaughter my (hiding) team just close to the AlQ camp,which it did very well i gotta say,a few KORDs and a patrol minimized the team to 3 at all for the last obj (Aziz)

Guess we played 2-2,5h on that

Some notes still:

  • BISmed system = fail (imo)
    and i m not talking about the general options on that,more the "terrain kills" that u take sometimes by driving down to fast a to steep hill or you hit a rock,get injured - die out of the blue a few seconds later
    norrins revive possible?

  • persistant game on dedicated servers
    sadly the game doesnt keep playing when being the last/only player and your going to leave the server in order to come back later and continue

  • very few enemy contacts on the ride
    honestly,its hard to believe you r driving in enemy occupied territory when running in only 1 active patrol on the whole map (the UAZ patrol was down to 25% fuel as we took em out at around 2h in the game),which does its job good but maybe really a bit low on numbers
    1 or 2 patrols more could do good to keep attention maxed at all times

Well,thats pretty much all that came to my mind while playing,again very well done and enjoyed nearly every minute of it

How am I supposed to take down the enemy choppers? This is a cool mission don't get me wrong, but it's really like 5 men against the axis of evil.

looking in the AlQ Base,there´s STRELA´s in the ammo crates too

or be a good AT shot :D

All points taken and appreciated.

I will add some more patrols and maybe a Stinger in the ammo box.

I'm also concidering a side respawn, which enables teamswitch even in MP.

Mission will be updated within a week.

Laggy my man....Fantastically awesome mission dude! Great time of day, great locations, excellent modeling, perfect amount of everything...custom sounds are very very good. totally awesome...I hope to see a lot more from you ...keep it up

Dude sack up...we shot 1 down with an enemy UAZ and one crash landed while getting popped with a tac50 unloading troops. Improvise

Very nice words indeed.

I have been moving lately so no time for mission editing, but now I am finally done.

Expect an updated mission this coming weekend, where some changes have been made.

I've been having a problem loading this and other missions as they keep coming up saying there are missing files. I'm running Steam version of OA and as of last night BAF, although it's happened before and after these addons. I also tend to start up Combined Ops.

I don't run any mods, and specifically avoid them, so can't see how I messed up the install. All of the stock missions work fine and most of the ones I transferred over from my previous install of the game.

I've tried searching the forums but I haven't found anything helpful on the forums so far so any help would be appreciated.

hey

played v0.92 yesterday with a m8 and gotta say the only issues we run into was the not working extraction,propably because we had 1 KIA and the chopper pilot refused to take off with only 5 of 6 on board

Also,one thing we both noticed: mooooooore patrols!

We propably had to deal with 3 patrols (including the SCUDpatrol) at all

Still,great mission :cool:

and oh yea JIPplayers seem to get double tasks

Are you sure about the numbers because you are 7 guys from start. Also, since during the extraction ALL team members join the chopper, it will not take off until everyone is aboard. You all become members of an AI lead group. If anyone is far away and let's say injured it will create problems. I might try to find a better solution. Grateful for suggestions.

Damned :) It is really frustrating that briefing, tasks, updates, teamSwitching and JIP make task assignments the only annoying part of mission editing, will look into it and thanks for the heads up.

i had an error. it tells me that i don't have cfg.world.92....:/

Most likely a problem with an unofficial addon.

I have never seen this error before, neither has anyone else reported it.

I would try and restart the mission with only official BIS stuff loaded.

Do you have combined op's, ArmA2 + OA?

Which version... 1.54?

If so, I have no idea what the problem is, I only use vanilla ArmA2+OA, no unofficial stuff at all.

Some unofficial addons can actually mess up your directories for good, even when not loaded or even uninstalled. Happened to me in OFP.

What addons have you used?
