Can someone give me benchmarks for 460GTX? Good buy?

Recommended Posts

I want to buy 460 GTX.

Resolution 1680 x 1050

fillrate 100%

texture detail highest

Anisotropic Filtering Highest 16x

AA 2x or lowest

object detail highest

terrain detail lowest

shadows highest

PP Effects OFF

video memory default

Can someone give me the fps in multiplayer on these settings?

I already found this:

But I need MY settings :yay:

I'm not quite sure how an Arma 2 benchmark matter?

The GTX460 is currently the best value GPU in terms of performance, power consumption and noise levels. Arma 2 wont change that. Whether its good buy for you depends on your current GPU.

Besides, we cannot give you fps in multiplayer unless you specify a mission, player count, server, situation etc. Hell you dont even state if its Chernarus or Takistan, that can make an assload of difference!

Personally I bought a GTX460 a week ago and I sure dont regret it. It wasnt even an "upgrade" per say, more like a sideway step, I had a GTX280 before and the new card isnt that much faster, but the power consumption is down like 100W and noise levels... Oh boy, it doesnt even change fan speed compared to the jet engine that is the GTX280!

well ive just ordeded one should have it by tuesday, the gtx460 has had some cracking reviews at present ive got a gts250, which is ok but my fps take a nose dive when in large built up areas in chernarus and zargabab, for my budget the card sounds ideal..

Those fps 'nose dives' aren't really going to go away, I have an i7 920 and an HD5870 and I still get them. Your new GPU may well help though, and that is a pretty significant upgrade.

Yeah i agree, hopefully they'll iron out some of the performace issues with Zargabab and Takistan sometime soon . at present i play on Chernarus with the current beta patch runs v smooth on my system @ 25 to 30fps with no jumps or stutter, but the large towns and built up areas are a No no at present.
