multiplayer connection messages

Recommended Posts

I beg your pardon for my English. I hope my thoughts will be clear:)

I do not want to ask to fix netcode and etc. no. just want to add an option to disable connection spam in multiplayer games.

on servers where online players over 20-30 is a constant wave of spam that those who came, who left what he said batleye. it's annoying for those who play just creates additional problems with game chat messages.

do not completely remove this information, just give us the opportunity to disable these messages in the game settings.

thanks

My suggestion, as I highly agree on there being too much information shown sometimes:

1) Connect/server messages (except server MOTD, should still use global) gets their own "radio channel". This channel is broadcasted to everyone, automatically, but would not be possible for us to select.

2) New command chatServer should be used to get these messages to the clients. This command would also be highly valuable to mission makers; instant debug messages across the network with NO fuzz or need to create complex scripts.

3) A new slider in the game options; serverChat visibility. It just controls the opacity at which the information is shown. If set all the way to zero, the lines doesn't even insert.

Sometimes I do actually want to read when someone connects, i.e. if I'm waiting for someone to show up. Or I'm I'm just waiting for anyone to show up. So I'd very much like to be able to be in control myself.
