xXxDivinexXx 10 Posted August 12, 2010 Look on your monitor, your physical monitor, and tell me at what ms is the response time your monitor is rated at? For instance mine is 2ms. How do i check this?
xxbbcc 6 Posted August 12, 2010 Try the monitor's manual, that will likely have it. You should really try to post a screenshot to show what kind of blurring you have. People are trying to help you but you're not giving a lot of information. You may also want to check your video driver to see if you have blurring forced. I have NVidia and their control panel sucks, it's very easy to set settings inadvertantly. Your computer seems to be more than enough to run the game at high settings so this could be a video driver issue. Make sure you have the latest patch for the game - for OA, the latest beta works well for me.
Steakslim 1 Posted August 12, 2010 It usually says it right on most monitors in print along with the contrast ratio and Energy Star rating if it has one.
xXxDivinexXx 10 Posted August 23, 2010 It usually says it right on most monitors in print along with the contrast ratio and Energy Star rating if it has one. I bought a new monitor. Its actually a computer monitor, So i am no longer using my tv! its a Acer 24 inch. Where do i check for the refresh rate? I notice the game ISNT as blurring when i move the camera. It actually isnt blurry at all its just the camera movment is delayd eand its like soft. Its hard to explaine..
Steakslim 1 Posted August 23, 2010 yeah I understand. So you are telling me no where printed on the body of your monitor is any technical information on it's contrast ratio and response time? What about the box it came in? Anywho to explain why I ask, monitors with a slow response time, like 10ms for instance, will look blurry when the image on the monitor is moving. If that's the case, it's a hardware issue and not the game itself. Most good monitors have a response time of 5ms or less. As for camera movement delay, that maybe a framerate issue? I know at lower fps looking around in ArmA2 is sluggish, like trying to look to the side and the camera takes a moment to follow. That or you have the floating zone turned on, is the gun itself moving with your mouse just fine?
