really looking forward to this ;) it'd be so freaking delightful to be able to access this feature on 360° Training Course :D thank God, i'm so glad it won't mess up the AB :D so if i screw around with it, everything will be back to normal... What an awesome job, Ruthberg! you're absolutely the greatest! \m/ how do i install this sandbox? just like the 360° Training Course? how do i bring up that console thingy? how do i modify the scripts? can you gimme some tutorial coz i suck at scripting :( and if i change the ammo parameters through this sandbox mission, will it change the AB parameters in general? -

hell yeah! now this would be a nice x'mas gift! perhaps you could load the MK 248 in the .308 rifles like M24, M40, etc? coz basically .300 WM & .308 are same calibers. The U.S. government purchased MK 248 MOD 1 in 2009 for use in the adapted & re-barreled M24A2. and perhaps you could load the 6.5 mm in MXM rifle? now this'd be the most freaking badass x'mas gift ever! please make this happen! :D Santa Ruthberg is coming to town, hell yeah \m/ -

OMG Okay i see, you just wanted to know how to create a new gun profile and how to reset the zero input for that new gun profile lol XD Sorry my bad lol XD You could've just said this in the first place, i thought you were gonna mess up with the zero input without re-zeroing your gun lol XD Alright then, carry on! A little advice from me, when you wanna set up a new loadout (especially smaller calibers like .308), you better zero it at 100 m in the conditions (MV & AC) where you usually operate so the zero POI will always hold dead stable and you don't gotta deal with zero condition change ;) good luck and good shooting \m/ -

Okay, so by doing that, we tell the AtragMX to reset our 500 m zero for the new conditions (new MV & AC), right? The AtragMX will tell us that the zero will be perfectly 0 Mil at 500 m for the new conditions. I'm sure this is what we do with the AtragMX after we re-zero our actual guns based on our entirely new standard conditions (current atmosphere & gun data), right? but what if we don't re-zero our actual guns at the new conditions? The actual bullet zero POI will still change if the Muzzle Velocity and Atmospheric Condition change, right? For Example: in DGeorge85 case, his .308 is perfectly zeroed at 500 m (Zero MV = 850 m/s, Zero AC = 1013.25 hPa). When facing new conditions, his 500 m zero falls short (-0.8 Mil/-40 cm) coz his MV goes down to 795 m/s which really makes sense coz his bullet travels slower. The AtragMX obviously already takes this MV change into account, it tells him that his zero point will hit 0.8 Mil lower. The AtragMX already does a good job, doesn't it? why not letting the AtragMX be? Why on earth DGeorge85 wants the AtragMX to reset the zero point (perfectly 0 Mil at 500 m) based on his new MV? His actual shot is still gonna hit 0.8 Mil lower even though he set the AtragMX for his new MV. it'd be useless, unless DGeorge85 has re-zeroed his actual M40A3 for the new MV (795 m/s). Don't you guys think so? damn, i hope you guys understand what i'm talking about coz i myself am getting really dizzy here lol XD -

@DGeorge85: you have to consider your Zero Atmosphere and Zero MV (Atmosphere & MV when the loadout is zeroed). Your zero point will also change if the muzzle velocity and Atmospheric Condition change without re-zeroing your rifle at new conditions. That's why i prefer zeroing my guns at 100 m so the zero point holds pretty stable despite the Atmospheric Condition and MV change. If you zero past 100 meter, in different conditions your zero point will be off (how much it will be off depends on how far your zero range was). AB amazingly simulates zero adjustment where you can re-zero your scope at 100 m :) but if you wanna stick to 500 m zero, ain't no problem too coz the AtragMX seems to take Zero Atmosphere and Zero MV into accout... @Ruthberg: exactly my point, so my question is what's the Zero Atmosphere and Zero MV of all your loadouts? I assume the Zero Atmosphere is at the sea level (1013.25 hpa, 15°C, 50% humidity). But what about the Zero MV? Are all your loadouts zeroed at their "typical velocities" (let's say the .408 CT is zeroed at 910 m/s)? Could you kindly explain us a lil bit about that? coz all along i didn't take AB Zero MV into account lol (shame on me) My own solvers have MV Variation input which allows me to specify the amount of Muzzle Velocity variation per degree of temperature change, but unfortunately i never used it lol XD All this time I thought I could just alter the MV myself (corresponding to Ammo temp) but it turns out that my solvers seem to view the altered MV as the new Zero MV and it causes a bit trajectory miscalculation. Now I've realized I need to make use of that MV Variation input in order take AB Zero MV into account...thanks a lot for the insight, Ruthberg ;) -

@Ruthberg: here i give you another ballistics tables of 300 AAC Blackout and .303 British :) please put these tables on the first page as well ;) well i guess it pretty much wraps it all, i've given you all your bullets ballistics tables, these two are the last ones unless you add another projectiles :pistols: forgive me for being pushy & greedy but I would be very grateful if you could add .300 Win Mag (MK 248) and some more high-BC 6.5 mm bullets to your mod :) it'd be an awesome Christmas gift for us lol thank you so much for everything you've done for us, Ruthberg :') glad you like the sniper 101 series, George :) please subscribe, keep watching, & don't forget to spread the knowledge to others ;) -

it'd be very nice if wind direction input is in degree instead of hour. well it's not a big deal though... perhaps you still use the old version of trixie's? have you tried the modified version of Trixie's Sniper/Marksman Pack that makes use of the new AB ammo types (the included M107s are now able to shoot .416 Barrett and .50 BMG Hornady A-MAX)? Modified Trixie's .408CT is extremely accurate even beyond its max effective range. it's advertised to be able to stay stable even at transonic or subsonic range, but i've never shot that round in real life though lol XD With the AB, my longest .408CT shot is 2600 m, first round hit. AB's 408CT has very small dispersion, able to produce super tight shot group even at extreme range \m/ totally agreed :D -

exactly, you can't just zero your gun at 1 m lol XD the shortest typical zero range is 25 m. Can someone tell KoffeinFlummi (AGM creator) about this? it'd be nice if he was humble enough to implement AB into his mod. i've tried to convince that guy to do so but he cockily refused :( that's why we gotta convince KoffeinFlummi to implement AB into his AGM. Dear Ruthberg, I should be most grateful if you would persuade KoffeinFlummi to do so :) -

zeroed at 1 meter? lmfao XD eww dear AGM so much for authenticity...okay, we can just tell our solvers to zero it at 1 meter but that's really odd XD can we just re-zero AGM scopes at 25 meter at least? -
Could someone please recreate this Team Shadow campaign? It's a realistic campaign that focuses on a sniper team. The missions are quite diverse, ranging from target elimination to reconnaisance, counter sniper operations, ordering support and surgical strikes on high value areas. Also features training missions to help prepare you for whats expected in the field. it'd be freaking awesome if we could have this sniper mission in Arma 3 :) and could you guys suggest me some cool sniper missions? so far the greatest sniper mission i've ever played is "360 Degree Training Course" made by Ruthberg. it's basically a super dynamic outdoor shooting range.

hi Guys, could someone please make a scope mod like this Dagger Scopes mod it's an Arma 2 mod but it amazingly offers the most authentic long range scope reticles i've ever seen in Arma history! That mod offers some nice Miliradian x'mas tree (BDC) reticles like: Horus H59 reticle Gen 2 XR reticle I really wanna see some Miliradian BDC reticles like those two in Arma 3. And i intend to use them with Advanced Ballistics mod. I know we already got Mildot reticle but Mildot ain't convenient to be used for some hold-off shot, i still gotta dial the adjustment. Sometimes a sniper doesn't have the time to dial and need to hold off over the target to deliver the shot asap. I desperately want these BDC reticles in Arma 3 :'( -

i'm always amazed by how awesome Ruthberg could turn the vanilla ballistics into super realistic ballistics. I swear to God in heaven, i always use real high-end ballistics solvers like Applied Ballistics, Shooter, EBC, Ballistics AE, etc to play AB and you know what, they work perfectly awesome for AB! I input all AB ammo & gun parameters right into those solvers and their firing solutions will always exactly match the AB trajectories \m/ OMFG it means AB truly simulates real BC values, real MV (even with the MV variation due to powder temp), dynamic air density (pressure, temp, humidity), etc. Hey Ruthberg, could you elaborate a lil bit how you converted the in-game airfriction to real BC value? till this day, i'm still wondering how you could that! and how did you come up with the AB? did you create AB using JBM? could you tell us a lil bit about the calculation behind AB? Hey Spartan, you seem like a ballistics genius too, perhaps you could team up with Ruthberg? maybe you could help him expand the AB and add some more cool stuffs like more projectiles, scopes, reticles, etc... P.S.: hey Spartan, congrats for the marriage ;) -

Hi Ruthberg, an acquaintance of mine told me that he had a hard time playing your mod together with AGM even though he already disabled AGM ballistics completely, he said that AGM scope adjustment didn't work well to compensate for the AB trajectory. He said that his shots always fell short when using AGM scope. Is AGM scope not suitable with AB? or is it because AGM scope uses MoA? Well he did mistakenly dial in Mil so i told him to set the AtragMX to MoA and dial in MoA but then his shots became too high :/ what's going on here? but i assume he just did some of these "newbie" mistakes: - The BC he was using might be incorrect - maybe he input wrong ammo & gun parameter into his solver - maybe he input the wrong MV (perhaps he didn't take MV shift due to ammo temp into account ) - maybe he didn't measure the atmospheric condition right (air pressure, temp, humidity) - maybe he didn't consider strong headwind which can affect velocity lapse and cause the bullet to fall short he never clarified it though... any thoughts on this? -

i want these guns: Barrett M107 chambered in .50 BMG McMillan Tac-50 chambered in .50 BMG Barrett M99 chambered in .416 Barrett Accuracy International L115A3 chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum and dear BI devs, i want some BIPOD!!! i also hope BI will consider implementing Advanced Ballistics into the game engine as the official Arma 3 ballistics :) -
Arma 3 has so much better engine and you can pretty much play all Arma 2 contents in Arma 3. if you're an ACE freak, you got CSE, Advanced Ballistics, AGM, etc to improve the realism of Arma 3 :) Arma 2 only beats Arma 3 in campaign story plot :)

congratulation on the new release! finally Advanced Ballistics is implemented into this mod! :bounce3: with Advanced Ballistics, CSE is gonna be so freaking realistic to the point where you can't just aim & shoot, there'll be lotta calculation going on especially for long range shooting! I ain't exaggerating, Advanced Ballistics = Real Precision Shooting! Trust me guys, you might wanna learn a lil bit bout real precision shooting stuffs before you get your hands on Advanced Ballistics coz if you don't, you're gonna get yourself lotta headaches lol XD and congratulation for Ruthberg who has joined the CSE team ;) you're the greatest bro \m/ P.S.: I think BI should consider implementing Advanced Ballistics into the game engine as the official A3 ballistics :cool: Come on let's start a petition! :bounce3:
