  1. @Sgt.Jimmy I've just tested and had the same results: FFAA+ATOC disabled and 200 meters Shadown in the scope resulted in 95FPS

     

    However close range it decreased fps (40 -> 35), then putting shadow to 50 it increased the fps again (60FPS)

     

    specs:

    AMD FX8350 @4.0Ghz

    24 GB DDR3 1600 Mhz

    GTX 980 GDDR5 4GB

    arma 3 on SSD (~500 MB read/write)

  2. The reason why it safes performance is because there is no inside of the building. this means that if you go through it with a camyou will find nothing inside.

    If all these buildings had interiors those interiors would have to be rendered and so decrease performance espacially if you have like a office tower with 20 stories...

     

    I think that if all of those buildings would have an interior the fps on the iland would drop massivly inside towns


  3. I am sorry to tell you this ... but your CPU can't handle it, AMD is worst CPU for gaming.

     

    And thats absolutly a load of bull.... Yes AMD will not run as nicely as aIntel chip but AMD is still good enough to properly play arma. I have a FX8350 8*4.0Ghz myself and i can play tanoa very wel, there is some micro stutter through scope's but thats it....

     

    So it doesn't matter if you have a AMD core just make sure you optimize it properly yourself (don't trust presets for that tinker with it yourself to find your own sweetspot)

    Model them and config them into the Kuma via scripting, using the attachTo command. That should be feasible and legal. Attaching things to the turret will be a nightmare, just so you know.

     

    What he means is that you can model specific parts that you want to add to a model and then add them ingame over the attachTo, however attachTO can be a pain in the arse, the best way would be to research the original model that BIS based their models upon and then find those online and recreate them (by axample the Kuma is the Leo 2A4 MBT Revolution irl)

     

    Then you can cpompletly copy over the config and delete the original config (this can be done by putting in by example the CfgVehicle class the following line

    Delete I_03_MBT_Base_F
    <- not sure if this is the kuma classname... but then you can addin a custom kuma with diffrent things on it then the original)

APEX is basicly like OA was for A2 just not standalone, so your saying that its wrong of them to enforce you to but the expansion that is only 23 euro's (that bis made with tears and blood) that give's you great things as a tropical island and features like vehicle in vehicle transport?

     

    The fact that the unsung team decided for this is a major step for them to keep up with the time and if you refuse to play it because you don't want to play APEX that your loss... Like I stated before, steam summersale is inbound and asfar as I know every BIS game/dlc/expansion always has a major discount then.

     

    don't try to stop the massive upgrade to unsungs future for the sake of people who can't be arsed to safe up 5$ a month for a mod of this size...

     

    (p.s. I'm pretty sure that the unsung team will still continue down this road because again: their mod, they create it and spent AGES getting to the point where they are now, so they have the right to decide this step)

  6. Apex Expansion wil be delivered as a EBO but ONLY to people who own APEX, this means that you HAVE to have APEX to play on the charlie release. if you do not have APEX you won't be able to play on UNSUNG Charlie so your stuck with UNSUNG Bravo.

     

    btw there is currently stilla 20% discount on it and it might even be in some steam sales before that (remember steam summer sale is inbound)

  7. Tried today in the jungle with 40+ AI, fps was +/- 28 but when allot of LMG's with tracer started firing it went down to 15~20 FPS.

     

    viewDistance = 1000

    object = 847

    everything on ULTRA

     

    fx-8350 @4.0

    GTX980

    24GB DDr3 Ram 1600Mhz

    arma on SSD

     

    after the fight it went back up to +/- 35-40 fps with about 10 AI left


  8. The ambient sounds is amazing! I'm acctually scared to walk into the jungle now whitout my góld zubr (It feels like a huge lizard is gonna pop behind me and eat me :ph34r: )

     

    feedback:

     

    The transition between ambient sounds seems a little abrupt? one moment I walk in the jungle and all I hear are these birds I've never seen next moment i step just outside the jungle and it instantly disapeares.

  9. Yep, I can confirm that. PuFu is a respectable modder and artist who heed our call for help on Tanoa structures. There is always a good deal of Easter eggs in all our games, some of them even in vanilla Arma (e.g. even names on some assets) :icon_twisted:
