    Pooter's enhanced ASR AI

    I really like how this mod improves the ai's capacity to react sharply during combat. The only issue I've noticed is that the ai sometimes seems to clump behind cover. I've often turned a corned and found a whole opfor team huddled behind the wall, or lying stationary in a depression in the terrain. Other than that, I think you did a great job enhancing the original ASR AI!
  2. Hi, I'm not sure whether this issue has been dealt with before, but I've noticed a significant lag in the action menu when coupling cba with certain AI mods (i.e., Vcom AI and AISS3 FOA). Could this be down to my cpu, which is an i5 3330, or is there some sort of fix I could apply to curb the lag? Many thanks.

    I really like how responsive this mod makes the AI. The only problem I've had so far is it seems to make the support module that's present on some scenarios take incredibly long to respond to prompts. Other than that, I'd have to say that what you've done with modifying the ai is very impressive.

    My apologies, it works perfectly. First time I tried I also had an AI mod running that seemed to be causing the support module to lag a lot.

    I gave this scenario a try last night after work in SP, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Only problem I really had was that the supports didn't seem to work at all. Is this a BIS problem (I've come to understand it's quite a common issue for some) or is it because I played it in singleplayer?

    Has this scenario been played in singleplayer? Do you spawn as an individual or as a squad? I've noticed that a lot of coop scenarios don't translate well when played in SP. I know I should just download the required addons and try, but I have a very limited data cap.

    Hey barbolani, Thanks for clearing that up! I had a sneaking suspicion that there might be unforeseen issues being caused by vanilla saves. I think I'll also be reserving vanilla saves for field work and the persistent saves for returning to HQ and at the end of a session of playing. You've created an excellent scenario here, by the way. Very complex.

    Money and NATO support are perfectly ok, except the CAS and ammodrops don't reach me. But this might very well be due to the fact that there are a number of AAF outposts (occupied by aa units) between me and the NATO carrier. Also, AAF patrols are continuing as per usual. I would say the only problem I've encountered using the usual saves is that the Y key seems to become disabled after a load, requiring me to click on ReinitY in the HQ menu. From what I've seen, taking an outpost or resource is always followed by a counterattack so I'd assume map progression is also working. I've been playing for about 4 hours in total, so it might still be too early to pick up any perceptible bugs. As for the mods, I'm using ASR_AI3; Blastcore: Phoenix 2; CSAT and UKSF Replacement; JSRS 3; and VCOM AI Driving.

    I've been saving and loading a lot playing this as a conventional singleplayer scenario. I haven't really noticed anything game-breaking yet.
  12. I find the tpw_air module adds a lot in terms of ambiance to missions, but is there anyway to edit the module in such a way as to get the aircraft to engage opposing units?

    Hey Rydygier, I'm not sure if there's an issue from my side, but HWS 1.06 just doesn't seem to work for me. For some reason both sides of the battle seem to linger in their staging areas without any objectives being issued. Might it be because my version of ARMA 3 is only updated to 1.24? Otherwise HWS 1.05 still works without a hitch. With that being said, I can't praise this scenario enough. It's extremely simple, but there's something in that simplicity that draws you into the whole engagement. You absolutely cannot guarantee what type of experience you'll have when initiating a battle. Yes, there are times when you think "bloody hell I wish something would happen", but when it it happens, it HAPPENS. To me, the random mix of quiet contemplation and unexpected urgency makes for an awesome experience. GOOD JOB!
