  1. Hello all, My custom buildings work flawlessly by using the editor or debug to spawn them in, everything works fine. But when I place a building in visitor and pack the map up to have a look. The proxies aren't loading on my buildings and neither are the animations, it's just leaving me with the main .p3d by itself. Any ideas on what can be done to fix this issue? I have seen that placing the prefix Land on the building classname should do it e.g. class Land_HouseAAB: House It calls off House then the House calls of HouseBase so I don't think that's an issue. Any ideas on what can be done? Cheers, Matt.

Hello all, I'm successful in getting my animations to work on my whale, but when I place it down in the editor, it only does the Whale_stop/idle animation where it just moves it's fins, it refuses to swim! The animations work fine under Debug Animations button, All 3 animations work flawlessly. The only time it swims is for about 1-2 seconds when I click preview then it decided to do the Whale_Stop animation. Any ideas?   3. Hey, I have my models hardcoded onto a map (not placed by the editor or script). Every-time I edit my model, the placement of the buildings on the map raise like 1-2m in height and move slightly. I've been in the business long enough to know I'm not moving my whole model. Does the game generate a location when placed in Terrain Builder off the Geometry, and if I add more geometry it Regenerates it's position? Cheers, Mattaust.

    Model Keeps changing Height within Game

    I removed like one geometry piece or a small proxy and boom, 2m above ground, 4m displacement. The buildings are still the same size. It's quite stupid for them to develop such a system. when they could just reference the XYZ point in oxygen and use that as a basis, just like in the editor or script.

    Community Upgrade Project - CUP_Terrains

    Hey all, Aussie and I (custom map maker) are interested in this CUP-Terrain. So will the base just be content, and the modular packages are additional maps? What file size could we estimate for the base back to be? Just really interested, because we hear people whinging atleast 10 times a day about AIA, but we need it for the content. Cheers.

    Wait, So the only way to really resolve this is to keep moving objects within terrain builder as I update them in Object Builder.

  15. We took those buildings into consideration, but the problem is that they are not ready to be on the Australian Map. Reasons: 1) American Themed 2) Interiors Missing 3) Materials on buildings need to be improved. If a time comes when they do improve, we'll definitely be more interested.

  19. I believe I will be working on the mm bank today, the MM Residential is basically complete and updated with 6 variants, ai pathways, shadows, geomtry fixes, and texture fixes.
  20. Thanks Colonel, I will definitely add AI Pathway LODS to the buildings, sorry that they didn't make it in this release as I was too busy with Study. I'll try and get them all up to date in the update, also can people please report features/bugs/suggestions in the bug tracker as it will make my life a little easier as I work through it all, cheers.   21. The scope of the buildings is set to a value that prevents players from searching in the editor (and maybe the config viewer, if I can remember).     A quantum leap - Arma 4

    Here's a tip for the Executive: Scrap the ARMA engine, actually spend some time creating a game engine that allows for high population servers without the server strain. As well a creating an engine that requires 64bit quad core cpu's from the start, and start utilising the GPU more. This is never going to happen, because ARMA is the puppet of VBS's studio BI Simulations. Whatever VBS releases, we are always 1-2 games behind. So you want to know what features are going to be in ARMA 4? just look at the latest VBS, but also minus some features, because they wont give you the lot.

  24. Thanks Phonic, I understand about the ambient occlusion on some of my textures, thanks for helping me narrow it down, just an error with the PAA and will be fixed. Also Residential buildings will be tweaked quite a bit, those buildings were made in half a day and were quite a quick job. Cheers, and thanks again.
