Obiously you can give them functions in the key-config menu indeed. My question really is: will we be able to map buttons to actions in the cockpit for this addon. Specifically for the mfd buttons. The MFDs have no actual displays them selves so dont bother about that. This is the set Im talking about:

Player looking for squad (not for squads to post looking for players!)
Crielaard replied to Placebo's topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
Im 30 years old, former Officer in the RNLAF. Looking for a european squad. Preferably NL/UK/BE. Real life experience, VBS and OFP experience. Moderate scripting and high scenario building skills. RL experience with: Jet Fighter operations UAV operations CAS JTAC Force protection Steam id: theneptune Or PM me through this forum -
Looking forward for this one. The clickable cockpit and GAU8 sound allone made me fall in love. I have a question: Since I own a set of Thrustmaster MFDs, it would be cool to actually use them in arma. Are the cockpit functions somehow mapable as hotkeys to joystick-like input devices? If not...consider it a sugestion. :D

Does is have to be 'competing' with ACRE? It's just simmelar... The biggest + for me: Is that it's easier to install. And when I have the plugin running it doesn't ruin the rest of my Teamspeak temporarily. With this I can be in ArmA using the radio's and be on other teamspeak servers without any problems. But again. I think it's just personal taste. Give it a shot... And if you prefer ACRE, go for that!

Is there a simple way to keep people from being able to talk/use radio's when they are dead/incapacitated while using the Giallustio's BTC revive script?

A bunch of our tanks have been sold to germany. But exactly these tanks are still used by our army, being rented. ;) The scan ealge uav would be cool to model. And we are buying the mq9 reapers. SF and SOF will be a big player in using this for their operations. So this would make sense to model. And...our Flagship...the Rotterdam. I have a basic model from OFP by the 'lowlands warrior' team. (My brother) Want it? That will give you a good head start on making it! Pm me.

If I understood correctly, buildings and hills will degrate the range. So thats a matter of waiting. ;)

Stealth technology is about minimising radar signature. So yes it will still work. Especially the older radar types will have trouble with stealth at short range. Aquisition radars are less affected by it though. I say LESS, they still are affected. But WVR its easy to rely on optics to shoot at him anyway.

Maybe something simple to make this even nicer. Barets from a bunch of our forces? Like the black with red symbol for the marines, green for KCT, red for air mobiles, greenbrownish for army, darkgrey for Airforce......etc.

Cool! Isnt that addon problem simply solved by removing the lines in the sqm file where it gives the required addons?

We've been playing around with this mod for a while now and it is becoming our favorite! Again, keep it up and keep improving. I will PM a picture soon with one or two suggestions on how to make the radio's a bit more realistic. :)

Thanks for the Reply that helped me quiet a bit. I understand to keep it simple. It was more that the button functions are kinda mixed up. For example: I noticed the volume is controlled with the button where you witch channels with IRL. Which looks kind of weird. It's no biggy but it will make the mod look just better when corrected. :)

I've been testing this for a few days now. And it works great! Not only just functional but the radio sound output even sounds realistic. Just awesome. If this is an RTFM question, please tell me( Although I did read it. ;) ) Can I keep units from gaining certain radio types? Not just single units but by default. And I did find the LR radio class names. But whats the classnames of the shortrange radios? Last question is about the buttons on the radios. They don't seem to comply with what thet do IRL, is there a specific reason for that? Eventhough this is open source, I am surely willing to help to make it even more realistic.
