    AI Discussion (dev branch)

I think something along these lines would be extremely useful. The enemy AI's behavior when initially fired upon (especially when ambushed from cover and/or substantial distance) is IMHO the single biggest issue right now. As it is, they just turn and zero in on your position with incredibly unrealistic speed and precision, all while ignoring the incoming fire that just took out the guy next to them. The devs seem to be wanting to move away from player-controlled sliders, so the values a given group takes could be dependent on force size/power. Large groups or groups with elite units would be more aggressive in their response to an ambush (especially the resuming positions part), while a small patrol that just got ambushed would be less so.

    People not dying

I agree that this is a big issue, especially in light of other choices the developers have made when it comes to the shooting mechanics and gun handling in the game. Right now, the guns in the game with 6.5 and smaller ammunition are glorified pea-shooters that seem to take 3+ bullets to kill an enemy at all but the closest ranges (with at least 2 of those bullets hitting the torso). That in and of itself is a departure from previous Arma/OFP titles where 1 bullet for you or an enemy typically meant death or at least incapacitation. But when combined with the horribly exaggerated recoil and random weapon sway that make it seem like your character has never handled a firearm in his life, accurate follow-up shots are all but impossible except at CQB ranges.
  3. Fixed here too after today's dev update!
  4. Exactly the same here. Like others, the specific error message I get when trying to reload a save says that the following file is missing: "a3_modules_f_uav". I'm guessing that the latest dev branch update changed the name of that object (and perhaps others?) from what the missions reference, but it's odd that it wouldn't prevent the mission from loading in the first place, just loading of saves.
