    ToM Bugs, Issues, Suggestions, Questions

If you aren't already, I would opt into the Development Beta in the Steam options for the game. You get bugfixes and refinements every day or two during the week. For instance, I'm pretty sure the Skip Time chooser was changed from that tiny slider over to a dropdown menu (or if it hasn't, Dram has said it will be changed in the near future).

    Announcing new sub-forum for editing!

Just curious here, but would mods (or more likely total conversions) be able to add network code, so you could end up with a multiplayer Mission Control where different people are able to control different rovers on the same copy of a map?
  3. Nope, you still missed a bit. By buying it in Early Access, you get access to the game starting as soon as you hit "Checkout", and that access continues all the way through release. You don't need to buy the full game in addition to alpha access because the Early Access program gives you development AND final release copies.
  4. EDIT: Never mind.
  5. I would guess the price is going up because the game will be "more complete" at that point, similar to how Minecraft (and other alpha/beta access games whose names elude me right now) started with a very low price in alpha and the price went up as more was added.

Take On Mars Development branch discussion

I think what FeltHat means by turning off manual flight mode is turning auto-landing back on after you pushed a button during the descent. There's been a few occasions where I accidentally pressed a key and had to land manually when i didn't plan on it.
  7. Right now, the logs for the rovers and landers are timestamped with the real-world time that the log entry was made. This makes the log entries pretty much useless, because I don't know of anyone that writes down the exact times that they start and stop playing a game each day. It would be much more useful, and make a LOT more sense, if the Earth time (or even Mars time) were put on the log entries.
