  1. KrisRedbeard

Facebook buys oculus for $2 Billion

First thing I thought was Fry saying "My god... its full of ads!". Aside from that, unsure how I feel. It doesn't affect what I'm doing a with Unreal Engine 4 / Ground Branch... not yet anyway. So, yeah... wait and see.
  2. Lean, yes. Track IR, yes, but no done. The achievement is a joke, yes. Had a few people ask about that :) We'll get into AI properly when we can.
  3. Another post and some in-game footage (yay!):
  4. Hmm... the about Sony, give me a moment. <Checks task list> Nope, no mention of PS4/Vita. Just stuff about the STANAG magazine being incorrectly aligned... wait, nope, that's on svn. So no, no PS4/Vita projects... yet. That's what it is about - letting people know that we are capable of... And as I said to you at ghostrecon.net - 2 engines, 1 kickstarter, but who's counting? :P
  5. I was mucking around with Dxtory and other capture programs, but when a time came when I needed to be able to capture stuff that second, I ended up just forking out for Fraps. It has its faults, but at the end of the day, it works for me. *shrug*
  6. Likewise, though I doubt it can be as bad as Fraps etc.
  7. The freedom of using the CryEngine3 SDK combined with years of experience working together is a Good Thing . Be interesting to see what comes out of it.
  8. Yeah, that's me. As many people have noted, I wasn't talking about the game, but the reaction many people having towards towards Christian/Serellan LLC. Being a dev on another tactical FPS and then seeing all the hate and abuse thrown at them isn't exactly encouraging...
  9. True, though we are so few in number that time spent on PR work is time not spent working on it. The whole damned if we do, damned if we don't :(
  10. My bad. With the amount of meow we're taking with it, it'd bloody wanna be... :P
  11. With the amount of effort we're taking with it, it'd bloody wanna be...
  12. Animations and player penetration this week. Still need to figure out when too much is too much. Do we need to track mutiple hit locations? *shrug* Anyone familiar with the system Arma uses? Tracking multiple hit locations, penetration vs perforation etc.
  13. Noticed the patch is out, but am yet to try it out. Seems like the toned a lot of things down, made head shots viable etc. I think that is a good thing. Was kinda bummed to shoot a guy in the face - a face I could see - then watch him shrug it off and kill me.
  14. Haven't had the chance to play it much. I opted fro the Black Road and am still in process of scrounging enough for a decent weapon. Not surprised to here about the bugs, but it good to hear that a patch is already incoming. I still prefer S.T.A.L.K.E.R : Shadow of Chernobyl over CoP, so I am still looking forward to L.U.R.K 1.2 more then this... if it ever comes out :P
  15. That is certainly how it should be by default. If you could get the make it an animated player action, it'd be even better. Then again, Arma3 is set slightly in the future. Perhaps we will all develop telekinetic door opening abilities by then :P
