That is entirely an incorrect statement. When using a suppressor, you are not supposed to use "hot" / supersonic rounds... The effect of the suppressor would be negated by the bullet breaking the sound barrier causing a sonic boom or a loud crack. When using suppressors "correctly" You are to use subsonic ammunition to not create a sonic boom. That is why rounds are less powerful when using a suppressor if modeled correctely.

You do not need a script for elevation when spawning an entity. In the editor (F1, units) when you add a unit, bottom left you see elevation. This works for positive and negitive values (above water and below). Just type in your values and press enter. If a plane... just set special to flying.. and the elevation where you want it.

I think it would be cool if the "Light Rifleman" class had more mobility i.e. being faster, being able to drop further without getting hurt or even be able to climb with the limited amount of gear.

Just an FYI, You might want to demonstrate this...... If you get an RPG (AT Round) and fire at the Infantry hatch on the Slammer (including the Up Armor), You can roast it with a single RPG..... To burn the Opfor tank, it takes 4 to the engine block and 3 on the hatch of the turret.

Possible High-Quality Helicopters for Selection - STRICT Selection
WhiskeySixx replied to CaptainAzimuth's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Surpised no one picked up on the play on words, im kind of disappointed. A chinook would be terrible I know. Wipeout = Crashing.... terrible launch when first introduced at the beginning, then a Chinook CH360 Downfall... Oh well, win some lose some. -

Guide on what to do/play for newbies to ArmA
WhiskeySixx replied to Westonsammy's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Protip: If the enemy has you suppressed, don't stand up.... call for help. Any other action including... leaning around corners, throwing smoke, peaking, falling back, moving to cover, all have the same outcome.... HEADSHOT HEADSHOT HEADSHOT. -
The NATO sniper rifle is an intervention rifle aka Sniper to Sniper. The OFPOR Lynx .50 cal is designed primarily for Anti-Material / Light Vehicles. It is a multi-role weapon.

Guided Artillery Shells never hitting or completely disappears
WhiskeySixx posted a topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Hello everyone... I don't know if this ever really got resolved and has just taken a back seat and has been forgotten, but I decided to play around with the arty today. Normal rounds I can get to hit within a few meters without the computer, laser guided are always on spot... but the "GUIDED" rounds never seem to hit their mark or even come close at all? Last I remember about it is they are supposed to autoseek a target? I don't know but if someone could fill me in that would be great. -
Eject not working for Wipeout
WhiskeySixx replied to WhiskeySixx's topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Obviously had the parachute as the pilot class thanks. When I "ejected" he came out standing and not in the correct position. -
When I eject from the jet I do not receive an action to open parachute. Anyone else have this issue?

When I am using the CAS drone or the regular craft, I usually like to keep them as high as possible... obviously to reduce the chance of being hit my small arms fire BUT!! When I designate a target for a GBU or they approach for a hellfire attack, they get below 200m and expose themselves. Is there a way to make the AI stay at a high altitude while attacking? This would help with their survivability and keep me off of the controls for the UAV. And I am aware of the waypoint settings on the map FYI.

I think the artist ability of BI is truly great. The quality of player models and weapons IMO is right were it should be. There is one thing I believe that is overlooked in all gaming communities #1 because most people are unaware #2 A lot of people don't want others to know. One of the few games that did this correct that i'm hinting at is Brother in Arms. Finally the point I am getting at is the correct portrayal of age of men within the ranks of our fighting forces. Our bloody wars are not fought by masses of men in their late 30's. They are fought by young men in their teens and early 20's. When it comes to war and realism.. This is something that should not be overlooked and should remind us daily of who really suffers.

Soldier protection (dev branch)

I think a seperate animation between a shot being deflected/absorbed and a shot penetrating would be ideal. -
Is Arma 3's AI so unusually accurate? I don't think so
WhiskeySixx replied to Frankdatank1218's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Most games you can only see 100 meters haha.
