  1. Looks awesome so. If you find a female frog suit, you can then add camo for a variety of units! I would love to see Kryptek Female operators, or even some paramilitary (mixed civvie military) units.

    Just an observation with the current beta. If I also use AllinArma mod to play Arma 2 missions within Arma 3 and use the tracers addons, the tracer from using ArmA 2 weapons and vehicles can become big yellow balls, instead of tracers. It works fine with ARMA 3 weapons. Can you check this for the next update?
  4. Most awesome work! Just make some color variations of the hoody, variation of heads, make some configs to use shemags, caps and etc... like the Irregulars mod and ready to go! Great job!!!
  5. Jacob is correct. You just need to adhere to BIS ToS regarding forward porting of A1/A2 assets. Must stay within a newer game, not back to an older game, and must be freely distributable - no way to profit from it. AFAIK, all those DayZ mods are using Dr Annie from British Armed Forces DLC model for the female PMC so you can at least use the mesh, heads and modify the clothings to fit Arma 3 universe. Then modify the face to have a few varieties.
  6. Pretty good work. The texturing may need some work to match the game lighting. But, there are female models in ARMA 2 so why doesn't someone just port those over? Or perhaps even BB's female soldiers mod from ARMA 2? Or even in DayZ mod version. I have not seen any females in DayZ standalone, but at least there are models out there can be used as reference points. But I agree, ARMA 3 really do need Female characters in multiple roles.
  7. No need to install ARMA 2. You are using the STAND ALONE version, which basically include all ARMA 2 assets! You can install the AIASA HQ pack (+ related mods) from Play With Six if you want to use the updated ARMA 3 models. I actually recommend it. It looks way better than the ARMA 2 basic models, but note if you play missions with custom units, then you must not use the AIASA HQ pack.

  9. I don't know why that mission crashes as I dont have time to try it. But if you want to use user made A2 models, you just install it to the ARMA 3 folder like ARMA 2, then activate it inside the bat file under the "set _CUSTOM_MODS=xxx" line. Replace XXX with the unit mod like set _CUSTOM_MODS=@sg_chechen to the Chechen unit mod. You can also add weapons and maps for missions with the semi-colon ; for example: set _CUSTOM_MODS=@sg_chechen;@rh_aks Just understand ARMA 3 scripting engine is different from ARMA 2 so some missions will output errors on the screen. The only way to know which missions work fully, partially or not at all is to try it. EDit - I just tried the mission in AllinArma (not the standalone version). Besides some CBA XEH script errors, it is working fine. Edit 2 - I just tried it mission in AllinArmaStandAlone (I have both installed) and it works also withe same CBA XEN errors. I am using the ARMA 3 models for this mission since it does not use any custom units. Here is my startup bat with JSRS sounds (both A2 and A3 versions since it would map sounds for respective weapons) and the AiASA HQ models (starts at @av_mods) in case you want to use it. Remember to MOVE the "AiA_ActivateA3Models.pbo" file back into the ADDONS folder plus download all the custom A3 model replacements to use AIASA HQ models. Or just use play with six utility program to download all the models. Note that set _CUSTOM_MODS line should be one continuous line. So fix it before you save the bat file.

  11. Did the mission require "custom" armies or units? If so, there are issues in that you cannot mix A3 and A2 units on the same mission. AIASA remaps all the DEFAULT BIS units to ARMA 3, but custom addon units are not mapped, so you must revert back to using the original ARMA 2 units. You need to go into the X:\ArmA 3\@AllInArmaStandalone\addons\ folder and move the file "AiA_ActivateA3Models.pbo" out of that folder (I made a BACKUP folder under addons), then you can load up custom units. Give it some time as most Arma 2 units and mods are being ported natively to Arma 3. Then they can be "remapped" to the Arma 2 calls and used for Arma 2 missions.
  12. Yes you can. Make sure you download the correct mods if any are required, but note some mods may not work. Such as those that use CBA2/CBAOA and etc... There are some compatibility issues but if you can ignore the error messages, you can play simple missions and mods.

    You need a good cpu. ARMA games with the fastest quad core cpu you can buy or overclock would help you so much. The next thing is to the game onto a SSD to improve the game content loading.
  15. You're supposed to use the middle mouse button, click it, and select arrest or capture. Then he will follow you to the chopper for ex-filtration. I'm going by memory but it is easy to kill him which would cause a loss for the mission.
  16. Hi .kju - I noticed something weired with AIASA vs AIA with regards to ARMA user missions. When I play the old ARMA Aliens mod mission on Sahari map: With AIA SA, it works. With AIA, and enabled the path to ARMA 1 in the bat file, I would get ERROR: CANNOT LOAD WORLD 'ca\sara\sara.wrp' If AIA, disable ARMA 1 path, but load CAA1, I would get error: Addon 'caa1_c_cti_buildings' requires addon 'caa1_p_cti_buildings' What is difference between the two? I still use AiA to be able to access ToH.

    As much as I want to play with this mod, release it when you are ready. We're just anxious and we really want a good AI enhanced version, instead of really dumb walking targets. Er.... that's probably an oxymoron with Zombies. :D
  18. @ Stelok93. No. You must use the previous AllinArma mod to bring Take On Helicopters into the game. I wish it can and even if it could, BIS still needs to unlock the models in AllinArma for full fidelity. Same for the ToH Hind DLC.

    Looks pretty spot on. For Hezbollah, you should vary the baklava with green and black versions, and if possible, add the headbands to some units. For the Irregulars, needs bushy beard and some mixed western looking faces (Chechen, etc...). Otherwise, fairly accurate set of current event players.

You can imagine how the dynamics would change with real players. Just depbo the mission to see how the code is setup. If there is a need for "coop" playtesting, just let me know ahead of time. :D
  21. Hi KommieKat, I love your campaigns but I can't make missions as I'm totally script-phobic. I do mission or product planning in reallife and would love to contribute but I'm the type of guy who lacks the hardcore tech know how. Can't draw, animate, model, sing, dance or code but have lots of ideas. Like any other useless manager in the real world. :P If anything, I just tinker a lot such as trying to play RWO with AIA/Arma 3 engine and mostly can't make scenarios due to my real life side (kids and all). I can help with testing during my personal free time away from work and family. There is one idea that I had for a long time and that was if it was possible to make RWO use a headless client, or setup a server for coop play. The main reason is performance - Unload the AI to the HC or dedicated server. I do this for almost any SP campaign if I can get it work, especially for missions with lots of AI. I actually add GL4 to my launch list so unloading the AI for better performance is really required. The second option was for coop play. I can't even emphasize how awesome RWO with coop play would be. Its a no brainer to have at least 1 or X buddies playout the missions. The dynamics are totally different than with AI alone.
  22. Hi guys, I meant Play with Six utility when I typed PwS. I should have clarified instead of assuming everyone knew what that was. :D I had upgraded to the newest PwS for Arma 3 and besides easy mod updating, it can also list and download other required mod dependencies, hence any RWO missions can be setup with all the correct and required mods in one shot. I believe this will make it much easier for new and existing players to enjoy, without as much fuss.
  23. Hey guys, I love your work and campaigns, but was wondering if it was possible for you guys to setup PwS configs for it? I have to manually download all the mods, setup bat files and then play each mission. Was wondering if it would be easier to just setup a PwS profile so it also checks for the correct mods so more players would try these fantastic missions.

    Sounds great. Actually, I really like the Nomad version in RL. It looks amazing so please do include it. I think under the right lighting conditions, it would look great.

    Great idea for some CQB action. You can use these ships to build the mission. Probably want to contact the authors to update the ships with more details but it can serve as a good start.
