  1. Please bear in mind this was a long time ago! Played on the latest Dev build briefly yesterday and I did notice LOD flickering, but it was only on buildings. Also, at the air strip for a long time now, the bushes that used to be green down the middle part of the air strip look dead up close - just branches. I am also using an SSD which might explain why I didnt get any flickering before, but I definitely am getting flickering on buildings with the latest Dev build, so im pretty sure its a problem on BI's part at the moment. /Rumpii

Yeah, I'm really pleased with the FPS increases with the patches, the dust kicking would be cool if it was noticeable by AI, i think the overall game is such an improvement over Arma 2, but i cant wait to see what features and fixes they will be implementing in the future :) EDIT: Sorry to hear that tvig, have you tried using all of the start up parameters available? i've used them since Arma 2 and find them to be a great help in Arma 2 and 3 alpha I guess alpha is alpha, hopefully they get it optimised in the next weeks/months

Hi all, I am very new to the forums, but not new to the series from BI (played since Arma 1) I just wanted to report that since yesterday's Dev branch update i have seen some serious performance increases generally around stratis. Places where i would have had 40 FPS a few days ago, i now have up to 70 FPS, in Agia marina, i now have around 38-45 FPS depending on where I am in the town, that is comparable to a 29-35 FPS before the update. Keep going Bohemia! You are doing an awesome job! :D
  9. I run with my object quality on low and terrain detail standard and have experienced minimal texture popping compared to ArmA 2, also when i turned both settings up I didn't see any flickering, maybe a hardware issue?

    I heard that there may be more weapons added later on in the Alpha stage... is this confirmed? or just rumours?

GPU: AMD Radeon 6750m 1024 GDDR5 - 780 Core 825 mem CPU: Core I7 2720QM RAM: 8GB HDD: Crucial m4 256gb SSD The game runs surprisingly well, especially after yesterday's dev build update, 60 fps generally over the island, mix of standard and very high with low objects, dips to 36-40 in built up areas and areas with a lot of foliage, overall im happy!
