Hello, it's just me or setvelocity is not working when the unit is in the water? I was trying to create a chopper rescue in the water with a rope, but the setvelocity command is not working, when I try on land is working, so it's not the script, even because I tried a couple of times in the editor with just the simple command. Any idea how can I bypass this? Why setvelocity is not working in the water? It's a bug or it should be this way? Devs?

Try this in: ({_x in helicoptername} count units teamname == {alive _x} count units teamname) Inviato dal mio GT-I9300 con Tapatalk 4

Antorugby replied to Mpstark's topic in ARMA 3 - COMMUNITY MADE UTILITIES
Is it possibile to make it work with more languages? I mean, if someone give you more voice etc, I really don't know how this thing work, so forgive my ignorance. Inviato dal mio GT-I9300 con Tapatalk 4 -
Of course, this should work: https://www.dropbox.com/s/piv0nwbnmu4n1aq/ghosthawk.pbo

Hey StrongHarm, searching for one of my mission I've found this: http://www.armaholic.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=20740 The last post code works, even better if you customize the values, the only problem for me, it was that sometimes the chopper lose the waypoint and go too large etc, so I scrapped it from my mission, but you know scripting more than me, so maybe you can make it work better.

Hello guys, I have a team waiting for a player chopper that can approach from anywhere. I want the team to say something like: "We see you, we are North East/North/West/South of you position." There is any way to do that? Inviato dal mio GT-I9300 con Tapatalk 4

At this moment I'm just testing it in the editor so it's pretty simple. It does have two parameters, two unit _killed and _killer. Sorry if I don't undestand well what you mean. -

Actually I posted the code in a script called direction.sqf And then made an addaction to the player, and this seems the only way to make it "speak", it doesn't work if I execute the script in the init. -

Oh that's why you didn't get the first post, now using the browser version I see that my posts are cut, I guess it's Tapatalk problem. Anyway I guess that will work fine, tomorrow I'm going to try it, thank you so much for your time. -

Basically I want the team on the ground to tell the player on the chopper what's their position from the chopper. If I understand what you wrote, that way tell just the bearing, so I have to get the bearing of the team from the chopper and then make the team say something like "We see you, we are bearing 90 from your position". But there is a way to use North/South etc? Sorry for my bad English. Inviato dal mio GT-I9300 con Tapatalk 4 -
StrogHarm did you make any step forward with the script to make the chopper circle an area? Inviato dal mio GT-I9300 con Tapatalk 4

How to make the AI Divers(crew and passengers) get out of the SDV underwater?
Antorugby replied to bogdanm's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Try this: {unassignvehicle _x; dogetout _x} foreach units yourgroupname; -
Actually I can't make it work, the unit just go up for a second and then come back to the ground. Any advice? If I give the a name to the unit it get lifted, I tried this: _unit = unit1; _veh = vehicle player; _pos = _veh modelToWorld [ 2, 3, 0 ]; _pos set [ 2, 0 ]; _unit setPos _pos; _unit switchMove "LadderRifleStatic"; _fastrope = true; while { _fastrope } do { _unit setVelocity [ 0, 0, 1 ]; sleep 0.01; if ( _unit distance _veh < 2 ) then { _fastrope = false; _unit switchMove ""; _unit assignAsCargo _veh; _unit moveInCargo _veh; }; }; But the < sign is not working, only if I use the > sign the unit is moved in cargo. EDIT: It works, my fault sorry you were right, the point is the distance, I've changed the distance from < 2 to < 5 and was not working, but with the < 5 distance that you set is working fine. Thank you!

Hello, I've used amd adapted the code from BTC Logistic to make an extraction using fastrope but I have some problem, here's the code: hint "Fast roping"; _unit = _this select 0; _veh = vehicle _unit; _unit action ["EJECT",_veh];unassignVehicle _unit; _unit setPos (_veh modelToWorld [2,1,1]); _unit setvelocity [0, 0, 5]; _unit switchMove "LadderRifleStatic"; fastrope = true; while {fastrope} do { _unit setVelocity [0, 0, 1]; }; if (unit1 distance chopper1 > 2) then { fastrope = false; unit1 moveincargo chopper1;}; The first part of the code is working fine, but I can't make the part after "if" to work. If I use the second part in another script it works fine, but not into the script, I've tried even with "waitUntil". What am I doing wrong?
-
Hey guys, finally I tried your script, but they are not working. If I put use "sleep 1;" in the loop that soldier will not go up because the setvelocity is not looping fast enough. Also, all the command that I put after the "if" condition, work only if I set the distance > not if I use < or ==. Any help?

Playing custom directional sound
Antorugby replied to Spartan4ever's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Try this in a script: while {true} do { nameofyourobject say "yoursoundname"; sleep 60; //You have to use the length of your sound in seconds }; And then in the trigger activation you call your script with this: Soundscript = [] execVM "nameofypurscript.sqf" Inviato dal mio GT-I9300 con Tapatalk 4
