It was added today, you're most likely using an older version of ACE3. -
If you can't see any wind deflection at a 50 m/s crosswind, then something went wrong during installation.

The ballistics are identical. The only feature that is missing right now is the mirage effect. -

ACE3 now has two modules that affect small arms ballistics. a) Wind Deflection (enabled by default) b) Advanced Ballistics (disabled by default) All ammo/magazine and weapon configs are now located in the ballistics module. -
Yes, it does work with ACE_Ballistics, but ACE3 will soon have it's own AdvancedBallistics (AB) module. a) You will still be able to use the standalone version to have AB without ACE3. b) You will be able to use the ACE3 advanced_ballistics module to have AB in ACE3.

'Simple' means properly configured vanilla ammo- and weapon parameters combined with wind deflection.

ACE3 does not include pre-configured 3rd party ammo- or weapon classes. And it requires proper configurations from any 3rd party content pack, including weapon packs. So I would recommend you go with plan A. -
I am currently integrating my mods (AdvancedBallistics, ATragMX, Kestrel4500) into ACE3. But you will have the choice between 'simple' and 'advanced' ballistics.

The ace_fcs.dll is part of the fire control system and as such only required on clients. -
All ACE config entries start with "ACE_". I will adapt it in AB with the next update.
