    I've downloaded the game, installed the game and played a few rounds. Here's my feedback, I hope it's helpful! :) 5 v 5 -> It's nice and quite an interesting change of pace but I'd like to see 10 v 10 as well. Only three game mods available, Link/Raid/Clash. This isn't bad but I'd like to see 2 other mods, Hostage Rescue & Seek and Destroy (or classic bomb defuse scenario) The environment seems suitable for such game plays. As for the rest of the game, it's neat. I like it!

    Am I the only one having a huge issue with the Afterburner ?! (My sound goes wild when I hit the afterburner for some reasons...) Can that be fixed ?

    Dear BIS, let me say that I enjoy Arma 3. But there's something wrong with the weapons in the game. It's hard to understand how one can survive being shot in the head several times without dying. (I understand an helmet will "save" your life if worn properly but that's if the bullet hits it rather than your face... know what I mean ?!) It's also hard to understand how one can survive being shot several times in the chest without dying or falling inconsious on the ground... that is unless he/she's wearing a kevlar vest but still ... the kevlar can only do so much. But even without these items, it seems like it takes several bullets to take down an enemy (AI/Non-AI all the same) I'm not sure if it's intended that way (and if it is... please fix it and make it be so it's "realistic") or if it's just bad programming (either way... it needs to be fixed, Arma ain't Call of Duty, thank you.) This applies to all calibers... from 9mm to 30mm HE Arma is supposed to be a Mil sim... but right now, it feels more like an overkill arcade sandbox. (Not exactly what I paid for.) Anyway, thanks.     Increased in Steam ticket failure

    Well since the patch, I've notice a high amount of steam ticket failure (either caused by client crash or client losing connection) Before the patch, the rate of steam ticket failure was about 1 every now and then... and it's now 5 in +/- 1hr. Makes it impossible to grow a steady playerbase over the server's life-time ... I'm not sure what you guys did but ... it wasn't good. I'm not sure what's causing this but I'm assuming you're already working on a fix to improve stability. Anyway, if anyone knows anything about that particular issue, please keep me in the loop.

    @Coulum ... Thanks for the video, but that's something I was aware of before creating this thread. When I talk about "torso hit" I'm talking about a direct hit to the heart... but like said in the video, the brain can sustain life for approximatively 10 to 15sec (Been said too during the Zimmerman trial) Anyway, like explained in the video... as long as there's not a significant loss in blood pressure, the target is likely to either keep coming or flee. Altho in the present case, we're not just talking about 1 or 2 bullets being fired... we're talking about 5 to 6 and sometimes and entire magazine... that, that just doesn't make any sense. Again... this is a really harsh environment with a very strange architecture. Things like blood loss and blood pressure are really hard to simulate accurately therefore, a standard must be created so that the game can feel a certain way. I know I'm asking for a lot and I do realize it might be hard and/or even impossible to accomplish but ... meh, one can hope, I guess. Anyway... it doesn't really change that weapons do feel underpowered. Glad to see this thread is still going.

    Steam ticket failure have always occurred but since the patch, I've seen a significant increase. Apparently, it's all due to a client crash caused by explosions/bad physx dll. anyway, I'm looking forward to a patch to patch this up.

    Seems like duping has been fixed. I've also noticed an increase in steam ticket failures as well. Game feels somewhat smoother but as far as I can tell, it needs further testing.

    Most AI run around with range master belts which provides 0 cover to the upper torso (which is where most people will aim at)

    When will the nVidia Arma 3 optimized drivers come?

    Well... I want the physx to be handled by my GPU and not the CPU. I also want further & better optimization for my gfx card, running a gtx760 SC and so far I don't see much of a difference between that and my old gtx570 classified. (the difference is quite laughable) Also... I want my CPU to be used @ its maximum potential as well, I got an i5 quad 2500k SBridge OC'd @ 4.5ghz and it doesn't even feel like I've got that much power under the hood -_- Anyway, this is still a work in progress and I hope major improvements will be made in a near future.

    Go experiment in SP with crosshair enabled. So far it's the only way to tell how it behaves. I've made a thread asking for audible lock-on que, you should go bump it up.

    I got 7.1 surround sound here... I can hear people reload from a great distance. It also doesn't give a ... about my surround sound as well, for as I soon as I hear it, it comes from all over the place. (if you know what I mean) This seriously need to be fixed. Just realised this was an A2 thread, I need to post this in A3! lol

    PCML audible lock-on Que

    I'll make it short and simple... the PCML needs an audible lock-on que. The titan's got two (visual & audible) But the PCML only got one (visual) and it's useless if crosshairs are disabled. It'd be nice if you could implement an audible que for the PCML so that it becomes a bit more useful on the ground. ALSO... make the sound audible to people around.

    You're missing the point... We shouldn't have to play some mods to access realism in Arma, it should be there from the start. I'm not asking for guts to spill or brain matter on the walls here... all I'm asking for is to stop picturing deadly death machines as nerf guns. Again... I understand that if you're wearing a kevlar/flak jacket, bullets and explosives damage will be mitigated but ... I doubt you'll survive being hit by a 20mm projectile anyway. (Flak jacket will probably save your life if you take indirect fire from a 40mm but again, I doubt it'll do you any good if you take one directly in the face, at which point, you should just vanish ;) ) At the moment, it's not the case... weapons are seriously underpowered/balanced and that shouldn't even be the case. I want the people at BIS to go buy some human analogs and start testing what these weapons do to a human body so that they can gather accurate data for their models. ... I'm no homicidal maniac, all I want is to play a realistic game. I don't want no hollywood bullshit where everybody is armored like a tank.

    I'm expecting things to be realistic from the start. And yes, a 5.56 round would put anybody on the floor... even a 9mm round to the chest would put you on the floor. (if not, you'd pretty much be in pain due to impact itself.)

    @Chortles Not sure if trolling or if trolling. @Byku Multiplayer in Wasteland Sa-Matra (Rarely play SP and even if I did, my options are already set to Veteran with only 3rd person enabled.) @ProGamer Realism > Balance any day, any time. and finally... @Mistyronin What is Arma if not a Mil Sim ? At worst... one could say it's a Military Sandbox with a lot of "realism" altho right now, it's lacks realism.

The auto-detect option is a good starting point." Taken from the sitrep. So now... I look at my current gear and I'm like "Uh... ok!" I tried Altis yesterday, I was amazed how good it looked but it also felt like my GTX 570 was choking a lot trying to run it with the settings I use for Altis... -_- Sort of wandering if there's anybody out there running Altis with a GTX 570 ... just want to share and compare settings. (I know it's going to be hard running Altis @ 60fps but there sort of has to be a way!!!)
  24. First impression ? Great game, it's fluid (more than it was during the alpha stage) I just can't seem to get bored playing ArmA 3! The textures are very nice and smooth and the environment is very rich in colors! The only downside to this game are the goons (AKA script kiddies) It seems to be impossible to play for more than 1 hour before one shows up and starts ruining it for everybody. Otherwise ... ArmA 3 is the best game I've ever bought! Thanks BIS! You guys rock!
  25. From the straight forward hacker to the not so obvious goons... I've seen'em all! Lately ... I was stuck with some trolls on a server, waiting for them to click "OK" (which they never did) Server kept on losing people 'til it was finally over (and empty) ... the troll had won its battle. -_- People kept on trying to "vote kick" the thing out of the server so we could start another round it was in vain... ... We need something to help fight against these people, the #vote kick "playername" doesn't seem to work all that well right now! It's a shame that trolls, goons & hackers can have it easy at the moment, it would be nice if something could be done in a near future about this. Hopefully this has already been reported and something is already being done about it. Anyway... Thanks. DooM
