FSF_Jungle was very nice... Once of my favourites. If this new map is as good as "Jungle" was I'll be VERY happy A few people were asking about African Factions. There is of course Massi's excellent pack. We experienced the weird wake up, collapse, wake up collapse situation too... It gave no indication as to what this was so I kept getting morphine and epi pumped into me ? The blood and timer indicator seems to have disapeared too ? SJ -
Is there anyway to make it larger ? I still cannot see the markings even with your mod running. I run at 1080p with Small interface and the compass is TINY !! Is it possible to control the size increase with some sort of Userconfig hpp file ? that way I could increase from say 110% to 200% !!! :) SJ

lol 1 Gig... My arma 2 folder stands at about 90gigs 250+ playable mods. A3 is catching up rapidly.. Appreciate not ideal but the alternative is to stick in BIS land with their basic units vehicles weapons etc. A Sad, poor lonely place :) MOAR MODS please ! Can't wait for the Vehicles. P.s. any chance we can get teh T54/55 into the middle eastern faction too ? Wouldn't need markings, just old and knackered looking :) SJ

We get Ghost Goats too. But it's in MP coop so understandably not a supported feature. Can't wait till we get some NON beach wear Civs.. And Civilian Planes too... TPW, is it easy to configure what vehicles get spawned by your mod ? Noticed a wierd bug with the mod. With your @U100 mod activated I cannot hear certain people with weapons. I.e. Massi's Machine guns M240 for instance. With U100 deactivated all is good ? Any ideas ? Not just me experiencing btw...

Massi's one at the moment. Not the prettiest of Textures, but it works. I tried the R3F one and that one just felt wrong too much weapon sway and sounded odd if I remember right. SJ

I'm patient. His Quality is worth the wait and besides I have my 417 to keep me happy(ish) L85 UGL is probably more useful to the section anyway... :)

ALiVE - Advanced Light Infantry Virtual Environment

The best way for you to answer these questions is to watch the youtube instructionals... and then try them yourself. It's really VERY easy. You'll kick yourself for not trying it earlier. We've build Afgan style patrol maps (FATA and Sangin - but could be done on Zargabad or Takistan etc) for small units, 4 to 24 players where you can populate the Map with an insurgent force (DRIrregulars) and then simply plan out a patrol or a more specific mission. I recommend combining this persistent and Dynamic world with bCombat v16 (with house cover turned On) and MCC. That way you get an INCREDIBLY realistic Ai that hunts you down - reacts to your movements, etc etc. With MCC you can add a little spice, like random armor or Air support, or indeed some specifics like a "downed pilot" that needs recovery from Enemy territory. The beauty of it all is that the heavy work to build the basic structure is all done by ALiVE in about 3 minutes of placing modules, creating markers and configuring how you want it setup and about 30 mins or so play test time, hopping around the map to check all is as expected. Seriously the easiest most fun way to create a mission I've found. The author can have fun too as they never quite know what the Ai is going to pull next... It's great. We have serving Royal Marine Commandos and some ex mil guys playing right now; and they are blown away by the "Pseudo realism" it creates. PM me if you want to have a look see yourself we've got servers up. However our MP and CP spawn ok it's just the CQB doesn't fire properly. ? -
How much bigger is it.. Tried it last night and still struggling to read the blooming thing :-) On your screen shot it appears massive ! but your resolution looks odd ? Is there anyway of adjusting it ? i.e. can I make it bigger for my old eyes ? SJ

you can save missions you've created from the editor, just not single player missions.... You'll have to adapt the missions into chunked down sizes, complete then move on the part 2 etc. SJ

One feature that would be great is some more armoured vehicles... at the moment in ALiVE unless we resort to a stock BIS faction OPFOR units have no armor at all... Don't suppose you could chuck the odd BRDM or BTR in there with a dash of T34-85 and perhaps a rusty T55 or two could you :) SJ

Has anyone got this to work in A3 using ALiVE ? I can get into the map with just a player marker, but as soon as I drop down ALiVE modules it CTD's ? Anyone got any ideas ? SJ -

I can confirm the red balls appear. Logged out of our COOP dedicated with a raven left circling. (I logged in to test it for the first time). Came back and found the raven slightly embedded in the floor next to the control unit and a red ball about a metre away. SJ -

Wow - Roadrunner I seem to have poked a nerve. I retract my accusation of your accusation..... I'm also sorry I seem to have hurt your feelings. I still think your original post seems inflammatory... It's JSRS. Internal sounds are borked... Basically it's a clever little script that LJR has created that if there is an obstruction above you... i.e. a roof - the script triggers the "inside a room" beating a drum sound. I suspect that in some way as it seems so loud the AI can more readily perceive it. Assuming you've made no other changes to bcombat settings try turning JSRS off and repeating the test - i'm interested to see if the JSRS effect is more heard by the Opfor. Your accuracy issue is something else. I can send you our ASR_AI config if you want ? We've tuned it nicely now to allow us to play on veteran settings but without the old AK sniper reactions. They see you, they do shoot AT you... but you get enough warning normally to be able to get your head down. SJ -
