The thing is 90% of people DON'T read them. So it's all very well sitting back and saying "well you should have read the readme.." but*flash* back to reality, people should not have to touch their @addon folders - that's why we have PWS etc... It's all configured for them to let them concentrate on playing the game, not becoming Mod experts.... For each op we do, we have to add multiple instructional "don't forget to move your tanks from the options folder" "delete your TMR_optics.PBO" etc etc etc and it means that each op at least 10% of the clan population are left out in space unable to join..... I can only Teamview so many players in a day *:(* It's a shame that mod builders can make it hard for the majority of players who don't come here every day to check on the newest and greatest.. SJ -

Zargabad does something funny to FPS anyway regardless of AI... try the same number of Ai on any other map with lots of houses and they're fine.. but Zargabad is a bombhole... It's always been the same !!! What we've found to work well is create a CQB black list to cover the centre and replace it with a few custom objectives.. that way you can fight CQB through to the centre and then the OpCom is trying to occupy using profiled units which seem to be easier on the FPS... Any chance we can get this on PW6 ?? It's by far the best "bunnyhop" for A3 and the walking and movment changes are a nice relief from the normal weird body movements... ?

Good points on Ammo - does the the Soviet Autoloader system isolate the crew more from the propellent, or is there still access to within the Crew Compartment ? Speaking with a Former Chieftan tanker (he's now a Civilian Challenger 2 trainer so he knows his stuff) he was telling me how they were planning to fight. Basically it was all long range engagement, Pushing forward at night, digging in hull down, Firing off 1, 2 maybe 3 shots. Then rapid pulling back - a defensive offensive if you like... They never practised attacking along a front at all it was always spear heads, followed by breaking contact. Sniping if you will. So first shot accuracy and stealthy manouvring were key to survivability, for the British element anyway.

No no it works... well in fact. The UAZ's are unmanned for some reason ? All we need is some armour in there, and then I could ditch the CSAT all together.... Dream Wish list would be... BRDM BTR-40 BTR-50 BTR-152 BTR-60 BTR-70 T-34-85 T-54/5 T72 ZSU-23 BMP1 BMP2 Drooling.... If we could get just some of those.... -

I also think someone of your credibility may be the right person to work with Vilas to preserve and best present his kit to the world ? What do you think ? SJ

It won't put them all together, but the focus of the spawn will be the marker (or actually the Indexed items i.e. bunkers etc within the marker) Say a base for instance will get units inside it then the surrounding territory in a radius will also be populated. You can adjust the strength of the spawn in the placement module if you want more or less. The more you have, the larger the spawn area... :) -

No I 've had xmed system working with alive... Couldn't figure out limitations, but I figured that was a "limitation" of my intelligence rather than a conflict... Has anyone else confirmed Limitation system works with Alive ? SJ -

Agreed - But Massi's pack doesn't have Mk7 helmets :( so we get stuck having to run with two mods - Massi for uniforms and Vests, Helmets from Stalker. Kju, might worth checking but I don't think the Stalker pack is up to date with Armour configs. I.e. the BI armour values ? I know Massi's 1.2 is. There is the "UK PACK" http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=24609 it looks very tasty, has all the right uniforms and kit going back some years ! But I can't get it to work for the life of me and it's got DEV as a requirement.. (why ?!) anyway I'm happy to wait and see what we get :) SJ -

ARJay, I don't find the choppers are used very much. If I overfly one they will sometimes take off to engage, but I reakon the OpCom uses them around 10-20% of the time max ? not seen any Jets yet ? SJ -

Not allowing Mirrors - when they can easily be controlled by the owners of the mod - i.e. with PWS is crazy in my opinion as it prevents normal players (adds a barrier to entry lets say) from accessing the mods. This is a GREAT example that kju has highlighted. I know why modders might want to host their own ip... Prevents bad versions etc etc. But something like PWS makes that EASIER not harder and the dependency model it allows makes linking mods. e.g. AiA and replacement packs a Piece of P***. SJ
