Campaign Episode 1: SURVIVE - Feedback thread ** SPOILER WARNING! **
Nardypants replied to maddogx's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
We definitely haven't played the same game... I had retarded bugs happen to me 3 times, all linked to scripting (classic BI mission borking). They required restarting the missions completely. The worst was when As for being well written, I guess that's subjective, but if I can say I consider a BFx story better written, that's saying a lot about this one. That plus the staging mission mechanics that are completely useless and just waste our time makes it pretty poor IMO. -

My thoughts exactly. The storyline is really badly written and predictable: Personally, I thought it was the weakest of all BI campaigns I have played so far. Illogical decisions driving the plot and inconceivable combat procedures, coupled with completely useless weapon choices made for a totally unenjoyable experience. I give it a 3/10. -
How hard would it be to make opening doors?

Already possible. Check the TOH resources loaded into Arma3: -
Well, to be fair, it can be kinda awkward and difficult to know if your barrel actually clears the obstacle in real life when you're not standing right next to it. The best example is when you're something like 10 feet behind a corner and you're popping out sidestepping for a few shots. It really just depends on how much experience you have and how well you know your optics setup.

Well, have fun hitting things you don't want to hit and sometimes dying because of it. I'll use this new crosshair behavior to not fire at rocks and tree branches, plzkthx. Basically, you're asking for the devs to add (or disable, rather) a feature that will gimp you! That's why everyone's dumbfounded at why you'd want this... but whatever floats your boat!

This is actually something I would upvote.

Either you fail at communicating your ideas, or you fail at understanding how the gunplay works. In any case, if a regular crosshair is what you want, I'm sure a mod will pop up sometime in the future to cater to your wants. It might not have the effect you expect though.

You must never have had those frustrating moments in earlier Arma games where you were sure you'd hit your target only for your bullets to hit some random object in front of you because of collision issues if you didn't instantly go "AWESOME" when you saw that crosshair behavior. I just don't get your "playstyle". To me it seems, from what you describe, that you're actually running and gunning while using the crosshair. How you manage to hit anything confounds me. Furthermore, if you had a crosshair that only showed you where the center of your screen was, what good would it be since your gun would not be shooting at that location?

Arma3 Characters Modding Tutorial
Nardypants replied to Vespa's topic in ARMA 3 - BI TOOLS - GENERAL
Is anything different about head models in general or can we assume it goes the same as in A2 and we can keep doing what we did before?
