  1. I'm talking about something simar to the bags of money that drop in wasteland, except for the stratus life mission we have been developing over at MultiOp gaming. I decided to take on this task, the money is already in the system, I just need to know how to give it a model and be able to drop a specific value depending on how much I have, the same as wasteland, only we don want to use a system already made, we would prefer to make our own. Thanks!


  2. i know its possible, maybe even fairly easy to do, but as i have no scripting experience was wondering if someone could do it or at least give me info to relay to our mission scripters.

    i need a trigger, a box, that can be claimed by a civilian "for a set value (money)" that when claimed, the owner can access it like a crate via scroll menu and selecting "storage",where they can put weapons, ammo, clothing, ect. ect. and no other player would be able to access this container.

    Secondly, this "storage" script would need to work the same for vehicles, i can pull up to my "box" in my car and scroll wheel and "store vehicle", and later on i can come back to the "box" and scroll wheel to select "garage", select my vehicle, and spawn it in. this script may or may not be used by the R-gaming community for the Stratis life mission depending on the quality, credits would be given of course


  3. If everybody spent half the time they spend arguing about who's scripts are who's making missions, we would all be a lot farther along in the development process. I don't have an opinion on which side is right, public info, or private scripts, but I do know that i spent 4 hours yesterday with the developers of this mission helping them code a tazer script, they put so much effort into making a decent mission that everyone enjoys and it upsets me when people argue about "you stole my script". Some people are so greedy with their "scripts" that I think if they were private no body would share anything. There NO MONEY to be had. The only reason your all arguing is because you wante to be the "first" to have a life mission, but in the public community's eye, it doesn't matter who made it at all, as long as its made, and its made right. And this mission IS made right an has great plans comin in the near future.

  4. If I could possible add some input, I think a lot of people would look for themysterious feel of stalker as well. Like someone mentioned earlier in the thread, have lots of anomalous looking structures, like a building imploded or a crater with fire, make player want to explore more of the island, mold a story with the island itself, have a building ripped down and 20 feet away have a skeleton with bones. One more thing I wanted to say, Please make it an island with water on all sides! I hated the chernarus feel of being on a continent, I like the mysterious island feel myself, and with arma 3s new diving system, you could even have some sunken towns?:)

Hey mean, I'd just like to say that I've checked out your websites, your résumé, your experience, I'm sure you've heard it all before, but please stick with this project, don't abandon it, because I know it's so easy to do. But if you can stick with this project and follow through with it and get it done, you will have the pride to know that you've satisfied thousands of people's needs for a creepy-esque type mod for arma, I for one am looking forward to ONE thing about arma 3, and that is the new "stalker" type maps and campaigns. With the creator of namalsk AWOL, your the only one left that's stepping up to the challenge. So take your time, take it slow, don't burn yourself out please;) I'm really looking forward to this map, and maybe even if your feeling excited you could make a campaign for it too;p anyways mate, good luck! I'll definitely be checking in!

    To follow up on what I just said, your an amazing modler and I can't wait to see what you come up with, maybe you could throw in some underground areas the way namalsk did by covering the floors with concrete, would be amazing to have creepy cellars in a lot of the houses;) maybe some anomalies in them!

Hey man, if I could recommend some things, you should look towards fallout new Vegas or fallout 3 for some building model ideas as well, they have a very diverse assortment of buildings, one thing I'm afraid of happening is there won't be a good balance of destroyed/somewhat in tact buildings. I mean buildings that can still be entered without fear of a monster coming in all 4 corners, with a closing door perhaps
