    OMG YES!!! What the hell? The multiplayer screen and filter is totally weak and needlessly time consuming, implement all filters as checkboxes and such all on one page, and Add difficulty level and 3rd person on or off. This is basic game programming stuff guys. The current version of multiplayer screen is Shameful. :(

    Where are we with this. I still see no option to select first person servers? The polls are in: Many Many people want first person only or at least on anything other than easy mode. How has the BIS team listened to the consumers and implemented this into the final release?
  5. The ARMA 3 icon is not showing up so I cannot click on the icon? Only Arma 2 CO and Dayz . Possibly it's not reading the folder? How to adjust. To be honest the whole layout and User Interface is beyond logical reason or sensibility. It just needs a total ground up redesign. I say this with all respect due, and I truly appreciate all the hard work you put in, far surpassing BI's professional efforts at a multiplayer / mod interface. IMO they should hire you to do the in-game multiplayer launcher :)
  6. So Does this work with ARMA 3 ? Because I uninstalled and installed the latest from your website (very confusing and spammy BTW with all the fake download Malware buttons) . All I can see is Arma 2 CO and DAYZ. I have Arma 3 installed from stream and it works fine.

    When is this game going to be good?

    I kind of agree with the OP that the current multiplayer lacks structure or objectives. The closest I got was capture the island which is fun BTW. I read on a review once that BIS is a studio that makes really great platforms and sort of just gives it to the community and says "here is this amazing format, do what you want with it" I kind of agree with that assessment, and I'm ok with that. Actually it's really fantastic because normal people can create unique missions.....but! This Issue for me is: There needs to be a single cohesive application or menu that lets you manage and search for new game types and mods (not the current system). And you shouldn't have to delete and re-download mods , they should be all in one folder that is are accessed by the particular game type as you need them. I download some mods then could not log on to a regular game, ok that really needs some attention :). Why not only load up the mods or add ons that you need for the particular mission or game type? Everything is there, and the community builds the missions and mods, we just need the vehicle to deliver to the people.
  8. These mods sound amazing! I wish they would be implemented in multiplayer . As of now you can't enter a normal multiplayer game with mods installed.

    My Brother, I hear your plight,, please sign my feedback below,,, anyone who wears headphones and plays 1rst person could you ever say that the breathing and choking in your ear is not totally annoying? 1rst person is the problem, from 3rd no issues. yeah if it doesn't get solved I'm going into the sound files and changing, it actually is a game breaking thing to me, and I hate the phrase "game breaking". ---------- Post added at 18:24 ---------- Previous post was at 18:22 ---------- Dude right hear (see below) ,,m I'm totally confused as to how people down voted it? I really think they were playing in 3rd person. Or possibly my wording. Maybe someone make a new one with a more clear description.

    The Breathing in those videos doesn't seem half as loud as Arma 3 in 1rst Person. Also in the videos they are breathing into microphones, much different (louder) than what the solder actually hears.

    THis exactly. When coming from Arma 2 to Arma 3 alpha it felt great, so fluid and proper, now it's so so very slow and boring. Not even sure if it's more realistic now or even slower than in real life,,,it feels really really slow (unless sprinting which lasts what 45m?). The Game feels slow and thats not a good feeling to have about a game.
  12. Looking forward to trying out the mod, it seems intriguing. I agree that straits doesn't seem to lend it's self too well to horror, it's just so warm and nice. Chernerus and especially Namalsk are creepy. Hopefully Altis will have some creepy parts.

    On further testing and contemplation: Reloading Other people/ Players Reloading: It's just so wrong, too loud and coming from everywhere. Needs total reworking. I actually think the source file is mistakenly in Mono mode rather than stereo because I have never heard a reloading noise that doesn't sound right in front of me. As far as overall volume: Examples (from what it seems) a Player reloading 100m away sounds much louder than someone firing an assault rifle 300m away. That is just way off.

    Whoa my thoughts exactly. All assault rifles do sound pretty much the same but never thought to mention it.

  17. Ok Let me ask out loud. I have no faith it will get addressed at all, but to me it really bothers me. I like to play first person with headphones and it's discomforting to hear some dude pant and choke in my ear. So my question is this: Can I just go into the sound files and physically lower the volume of the breathing. Or would it be considered hacking? (I have audio knowledge so not so much the technical aspect of doing it but rather from a hacking or unauthorized mod standpoint) Also those that think it's totally fine as is: (sergeant Jimmy and AJsarge) just to make sure we are talking about in 1rst person mode right?

    Yeah you keep saying the same thing but it doesn't seem to make any difference to the point. The community has spoken loud and clear: 501 people said they want a change and about 4 said not. So I guess you are in the vast minority of testers who does not want a change with action menu. You have been playing for 10 plus years so you can become used to the way it works, I've learned to deal with it a bit but it still frustrates me to no end sometimes. Getting used to chronic back pain doesn't mean you are ok with back pain. Do me a small favor. Ask one of your friends who has never played arma before but has played other shooter/action/military games and get some feedback from a fresh user. It's more than just a foible it's just a clunky UI system as of now. I'm sure BI will make the change if not what the heck is the point of the feedback system? I could understand for smaller supported issues but 500 people.... t

    2 thoughts 1 weapon selection: Just make them Hot keys: f1 primary, f2 side, f3 rocket, f4 grenade etc.. Yes just like bf3 (ducks for cover) . I'm sorry but it just works and would take some confusion and clunkiness away from the scroll action menu. I hardly ever switch back to pistol when in a combat situation yet I'm presented with the option all the time and end up switching back and forth by accident. 2 entering Vehicles: one button to enter (say "e") and then once you are in you can switch by say alt "arrow key " to switch your position inside the vehicle. As it is now it just takes too long and you are presented with a laundry list of options. Sometimes when your squad is under fire and you are all trying to pile in a truck and get the heck out of there, you don't really care which comfy seat you are sitting in, you just want to enter the vehicle as fast a possible. You can decide your seat and play musical chairs later. E for enter and figure it out later :) So basically assign more of the action Menu to hard keys. With say alt arrow key or numerical keys to cycle though the options after (switch weapons , switch seats)
  23. I tried the test. I joined when there was about 77 players on and it seemed totally fine for about an hour. I logged off and came back on 1/2 hour later when it was at about 122 I believe (or at least over 100) and there were vehicle lags/warps but the infantry seemed ok. I got bounced soon after I think the server restarted. Anyway there is hope!! Good luck!
  24. I'm going to give a bump and a big thank you to Blue1. This server is legit and good times to be had by all. My first time playing CTI over the weekend and I must say it's a whole barrel full of fun. (much more action and purpose driven than Wateland IMHO, and I like wasteland) If you are thinking wasteland on stratis is too slow but don't want to play a DM meat grinder, CTI seems to be a happy middle point. Lot's of team work and objectives. And lots of PVP firefights. P.s love how the map and player identification system works: You have to check your map to see approximate team player locations supplemented by green name mouse over if you aim at them. Seems quite realistic and doesn't clutter up the screen with blue or red dots. Wish the poll was still open, I would put another vote for 3rd person OFF ;) T
