Campaign Episode 1: SURVIVE - Feedback thread ** SPOILER WARNING! **

Can't play Campaign cause the grabbed gear saved in one part isn't the same loaded on the next part. E.G. I was told to grab diving equipment for the mission "Contract kill" (or kind of, playing in german) where we get inserted north of Girna by submarine. (I TOOK that stuff, otherwise this part wouldn't finish) But when the part starts when I sit in the boat I don't have any diving stuff with me. So it's a deadly adventure every time. When I look into my gear there is nothing like this, but the 3 guys beside me do have it. Same occured a mission-part earlier where I had a LMG with ACOG as weapon and later in the part to destroy the crashed chopper I had a rifle with a gl + aimpoint. that happens using dev-branch of June, 3rd, 2014 Can someone confirm this? any solutions? cause I do have one single saved point of the campaign I would have to play it again from the beginning. (hope you got my english :j:) -
I'm not if it's been told already: It's an behaviour of MS Windows since ages, to share processes (single-thread-processes too) all around all available processors/cores, physicals and logicals (Hyperthreading). Pls try to force Windows to run the arma3server.exe on two physical cores. It's been told, that this .exe was optimized for a two-core-system. So you see the CPU-load. Now go to the taskmanager, on Processes-tab right-click the arma3server.exe and "Set Affinty" to two of the first four cores of your Core i7. (I am actually unsure how Windows sorts the cores, maybe the first four are the physical ones and last fours the logical ones, generated via Hyperthreading. But maybe the first is physical and the second its logical counterpart, I'm not sure.) This will force Windows only to use two cores and avoid some time for switching Caches and copying data. Next u will need to Set the task-priority at least to "High" (Windows will ask u again), so u force Windows to compute all other processes on the rest of the processors/cores. Pls test again and show us the results, would be really interesting. Maybe u can safe a few FPS this way. Best regards, SmashK.

how about this: use what we do have already and put all official maps from OFP (Everon, Malden, ..) ArmA (Sahrani+Rahmadi) und ArmA2 (Chernarus) up to ArmA3 (Stratis) together onto a single map chernarus top left + other isles around, but not spread out too far, so we can still use boats to reach all isles so there will be no need to create many things new, most know the maps, we have several different types of terrain and alot space for airborne/naval operations maybe one needs to fresh up at least the OFP-Maps a bit with more trees and buildings Sahrani ran in ArmA2 like hell (view-dist 10000m easily) how about?

@BigBear: you do have a board with 2xFX74 and 4xPCIe16 but only one gtx285? I AM DISGUSTED! :mad: Go and buy 4xGTX690's ! .. .. ;) seriously: What job do u have, what do you earn a month? I need it, too. I also want such a board, best with 2x6core-Opterons (at least). Hell, there are ppl out there with really rich daddies... Why is mine that pure... :confused: -

the most of the errors are gone 4 me what I did: maybe steam update arma3 a bit as shown in another thread I dl'ed the dxwebsetup, but dx was up to date I set up an pagefile, can't remember to have disabled it since Win8-install... within 3 hours of playing only one crash, but not this DXGI-one -

you already have a DXsetup in your ArmA3\directx-dir I ran it and indeed he installed something. but I got again that error, while watching the multiplayer-serverlist(!), unbelievable but true. but after that ArmA3 ran quite stable. My error is reported as "unsufficent memory", not the buffer-error you reported: and crash Pagefile shows only 8MB free, maybe thats the point -

Hey! I still have this error here. My rig: AMD Phenom II X4 945 (oc'ed X3 720) @ 4x3.0GHz MSI 770-C45 nvidia GTX 260 with latest driver (installed yesterday) fresh installed Windows 8 Pro 64 Creative Audigy 2 ZS running ArmA3 from Steam in Windowed Mode @ 1366x768 cause ArmA3-gui steals my mouse-cursor most things set to low/standard this graphics card should be DX10 only while DX11 should be installed on Win8, why do I get DX11-errors situations on error: switching in options to shadows-low switching to HDR-off getting hit (...!) ... not constantly but very often don't know what to do anymore any hint 4 me?
