    Chernarussian Defence Forces A3 - CDF_A3

    After this release the CDF faction is complete as it was in Arma 2, no missing vehicles this time. All vehicles were ported with A3 standarts, that means everything you are used to from RHS UAZs and Urals. And here I want to thank RHS team and Reyhard for sharing some of theirs A2 ports with CUP. Also big thanks to RHS team and Gurdy for sharing theirs BMD-2 and BTR-70 textures!     Here is the replacement config for the weapons - GOOGLE DRIVE Two versions included one for RHS, RH, HLC and CUP weapons and the other is only for CUP weapons. Enjoy ;) Btw, if someone wants to do their variant of what the units are using, there is config-org.txt with the original classnames. So you can change the weapons and magazines classnames yourself.

    @Defunkt Well I hope that the infantry will be the last, because now the main focus should be on vehicles - you can't do factions without vehicles. Anyway I hope, when the CUP vehicles are done that some of the stuff from CDF_A3 and TKA_A3 could be included into CUP. Btw, update for CDF_A3 will come later this week and after this update the CDF faction will be complete as it was in A2. That includes - BRDM-2, BRDM-2 (ATGM), UAZ (DShKM), UAZ (AGS-30), Ural (ZU-23), Ural (Repair), Ural (Ammo). All these vehicles will be later used for our ASCZ CAF AG Replacement Config for NAPA and ChDKZ and also for TKA_A3.

    Really great update IceBreakr! Like the units a lot, but could you please separate the island and the units? The thing is that we had Isla Duala as optional island on our server and it depends on mission if people need it or not and with the units, it's no longer optional (because of the playable content). Anyway the situation is, we would like to use the units on our server, but separately without weapons. I would also like to do replacement config for CUP weapons or HLC weapons, I would share that with you back here if you want ;) Anyway keep up in good work and thanks! I'm looking forward for other maps or updates!

    Weird indeed, I tried quickly ALiVE with CQB modul and everything was fine. But will investigate more, some people has also similar problems and deleting cup_creatures_people_military_dummyinfantryset.pbo from CUP helped. We want to add NAPA eventually and maybe also ChDKZ. But we want to do it exactly how it was in Arma 2.

    Interesting, did you create new private key or it was the old one? Because I thought that you created new rhi key and private key. So the RH M4s would have old ones, so that's why I renamed it, so I could use both.

    We are not planning RACS atm, but.. but.. it would be nice to see proper RACS and SLA factions in Arma 3. Got idea about SLA though, because they are using almost same model as CDF, except the helmet and backpack. So it would be pretty easy to base it upon what we have in CDF_A3.

    After TKA_A3 release, I slightly altered dependencies. Now CUP Weapons are required by default, however our community and other people prefer HLC and RH weapons over some CUP weapons. So replacement config for HLC AKs and RH pistols is also available for download below. However CUP is still needed for some other weapons (SVD, Strela)!     Well we would also rather see the pants tucked into the boots, but the A3 model by BI is binarized so we can't change it. Hmm, I could make replacement config, which will change the side. But anyway can't this be done via script commands in editor? https://github.com/evromalarkey/ASCZ-Mods/blob/master/tka_a3/opt/tka_a3_rh_hlc_weapons/config.cpp - here is the source of the HLC, RH replacement config. You can change the weapons here ;) Anyway we are planning to expand the faction little more in the future, more soldiers with AKs etc.

    @5harp5hot hmm, that's weird. I made the CfgGroups exactly how it should be for ALiVE, don't know where could be the problem. Is it possible that the problem could be on ALiVE side? Did you tried another mods? Anyway, will try to look into this more, thanks for the report ;)
  16. Version: 1.0 Description: I've decided to share some config fixes for AiA TP. I've made it mainly for CTD fixes and minor improvements for our community, before these things were added into AiA TP. Most of the stuff is already in AiA TP now, but because AiA TP will not be updated any time soon, I will release this mod so AiA TP can be slightly maintained. The latest AiA TP release with the hotfix is stable, without any game breaking problems. But if there would be some minor issues (eg. with Arma 3 Updates), I will try to fix it here.     I think that it could be because of bikeys from Arma 3 Tools in general, not just dev branch. Or conflict between creating private key from Mikero tools and Arma 3 tools.

    Maybe in the future, but for now the plan is to make it as it was in Arma 2. We actually did this mod, so we could get rid of @kae_sz from our server :D We are actually planning the Takistani Army right now ;) I want to do these factions as close as possible to Arma 2. And I would really like to see some proper ChDKz and NAPA factions, but in the mean time I will probably release our ascz replacement config for CAF Aggressors. EDIT: here - http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?188459-ASCZ-CAF-AG-Replacement-Config Well we decided for RDS vehicles, because it was easier to just swap the existing textures for the vehicles that were already there. But we could change the vehicles in the future.

    @Defunkt which vehicles exactly do you mean? @MisterGoodson well, CDF will at some point also be part of CUP. Most of the vehicles are ready for it. The problem here is the infantry, because RHS models are of course better than the A2 ones.

    @Defunkt yes, we tried to made this faction as closed we could to A2. Only some vehicles are missing, like BRDM-2 and armored UAZs, we will add these later. @Valken at this time no, but it shouldn't be a problem. I could make dummy config for A2 classnames later.
