    Well don't know how to use them so I have always used modules. I believe modules also help the missions be playable after Arma 3 updates too.

    And missions of mine can indeed be tiring to create but they have no issues afterwards and can be managed by my short scripting skills anytime.

    Also they do have much more than simple kill all enemies tasks :thumbs-up:


  2. In the Jets' showcase mission it was most likely a simple trigger that had the condition:
     

    !alive nameofthejet

    Such methods can indeed be used extensively but in missions which have specific units in play. For example our missions Miraculous Delivery and Debatable Bravery use them but it is a mess implementing them. It takes a lot of time and sub-conditions need to exist. An example, a condition for a ship to report it has found the pilot:

     

    nameofship distance jetpilot <100;

    but what if another ship has already found him? The finding should not then be reported again. It has quite a few tricks but they can indeed be used.

     

    Now as for addons that implement what you would like I do not think any such thing exists but I could be wrong.

    Hope this addon will continue being upgraded because there are a lot of mission restrictions due to

     

    1.]textures,

    2.]boats not being able to be deployed in all modules,

    3.]respawn, rearm and refuel modules not working,

    4.]the lack in landing on the ships ability,

    5.]the maschine gun cutting through a ship's antenna,

    6.]the lack in animations when the boats are deployed,

    7.]the need to upgrade the ships' modules. a lot of corners and such make some ship parts seem lego like,

    8.]a ship missing its windows.

     

    But the Anzak FG is awesome :thumbs-up:

  4. Debatable Bravery

    He saved hundreds but now he cannot save himself! Will you save him?

     

    1.] Hypothesis: War is raging in the Mediterranean! Greek and NATO forces are battling CSAT forces. One of the battlefields? The island of Altis! Altis is where hostile Assault Force Viper conducts war crime operations. A few hours ago they even tried to ambush a convoy carrying locals to the hospital of Kavala! They were families in need of medical assistance. Gladly we found out about their plans and although the harsh weather conditions we immediately dispatched Jet Squadron Zeus to intercept them. Zeus managed to not only intercept Viper but they even caused heavy casualties to them! One of their Jets however was hit by an AA missile and the pilot had to eject North of Altis. So now we have to find and rescue that pilot. While we do so hostile troops are also trying to find and kill him. Why? Because he is not just a pilot. He is Greeces Minister of Defense! Once he heard that Zeus Squadron was missing a pilot, due to him being really sick, he jumped in the plane and went with! Losing such a person would be a disaster since he is someone who can greatly increase the troops moral and he is even the guy who organized and coordinated the retaking of Altis. So he might have saved hundreds of families but will he die, the whole Altis invasion might be at risk!

    2.] Important details:

    a)To play in SP you have to be the GROUP LEADER of the SLING-LOAD chopper team.
    b)This mission has high replayability. The Jet Pilot's location along with all units' patrols are random.
    c)To control the ships you have to be the CAPTAIN of the wanted ship.
    d)In the airport the choppers can get repaired, rearmed and refueled.
    e)Playing in SP will be really hard so you can use the SP Friendly action located on a laptop at the start of the mission.
    f)In SP additional rescue teams will search and notify if they find the pilot but some are only available in MP
    g)Respawn: Instant although there is no vehicle respawn

  5. Miraculous Delivery

    A team desperate for supplies. A Supply Plane loaded up. You escorting it!

     

    1.] Hypothesis: A few days ago Special Ops Team Challenge Busters was tasked to stealthy infiltrate and sabotage a power plant North of Aggelochori. Sabotaging the power plant would disable key Altis defenses and would therefore allow Fire Ring, a trapped squad of friendly soldiers, to escape the island. It was a dangerous mission but it was the only way to save Fire Ring. So Challenge Busters did manage to bust the mission’s challenge but was detected while doing so. As a result hostile troops started pursuing them and they had to retreat to Kastro of Kavala. There they were surrounded and trapped. Up until today they have managed to survive but they are running low on ammo and supplies. Will we not resupply them soon, they are sure to be eliminated! So a supply plane has been tasked to evade hostile AA controlled areas and to resupply our troops. The supply plane will be escorted by Jet Squadron Zeus which is tasked to eliminate all hostile troops hunting the supply plane. You guys are the pilots of Jet Squadron Zeus and are from now on responsible to safely escort the supply plane to its destination. The lives of the supply planes pilots along with the Challenge Busters soldiers lives are in your hands!

    2.] Important details:

    a)You should ALWAYS follow HQ's orders. You should not take off or even move your jet if not DIRECTLY told so for your own good.
    b)This mission has low replayability. Once and if you manage to complete the mission you might never play it again.
    c)Landing on the carrier will result in you being repaired, rearmed and refueled.
    e)Playing in SP will be really hard so you can use the SP Friendly action located on a laptop at the start of the mission.
    f)In SP there will be no rescue teams available to retrieve pilots who have ejected from their jets.
    g)Respawn: Base whereas the Jets will respawn up to 4 times

    A government official is about to ally with a rebel terrorist! Their meeting point? An enemy compound..

     

    1.] Hypothesis: Afghanistan is a country where foreign aided rebels may have raged war against the legal government but they have managed to occupy none but a few settlements. The problem is that one highly ranked government official, Sabid, has decided to betray his country for cash and ally with rebel leader Talah! If he does so, a lot of highly classified documents will be given to the rebels and all of the country’s military facilities will be compromised. It would be a huge blow to the government! So, what we need to do is simple. Intervene when the official meets with the rebel general and take both of them out.

    2.] Important details:

    a)When 3 players are present you should be the GROUP LEADERS of all three squads.
    b)This mission has low replayability. Once and if you manage to complete the mission successfully you might never play it again.
    c)To open/close a door you will have to press the ALT key. Normal controls no longer work at the Kunduz map.
    d)You should NOT DISABLE AI units that are in your SQUAD. Those units should exist for your convenience.
    e)If you do not have the ASR AI 3 mod, it would be great to install it. It really enhances gameplay and takes Arma 3 to a whole new level.
    f)Respawn: Instant

  7. Nautilus Sabotage

    Our nuclear sub Nautilus has crashed on the ocean floor due to an EMP hit!

     

    1.] Hypothesis: Our nuclear sub Nautilus has been hit by an enemy EMP and as a result the sub has crashed on the ocean floor somewhere near Stratis! Where it has crashed is impossible to determine since all communication and navigation systems of the sub have been rendered useless but we need to find out if we are to help the sailors and save our nuclear weapons tech. How will we do that? Well a few hours after the crash, satellite images have detected an OPFOR Special Forces squad operating near the coastline. Intel suggests that those guys have been sent in order to flood the sub so as for our sailors to drown in their own vessel! They will do that so as to be able to get in the sub and steal all of its high-tech equipment afterwards. Shall they succeed all of the sailors will die and our nuclear weapons tech will be compromised! That is why we need to act now. We have to attack the enemy coastline base, locate the sub via possibly found intel and sabotage the EMP. If we do so Nautilus will be operational again and we will be able to save the crew and our high tech equipment.

     

    2.] Important details:

     

    a)To play in SP you should be the LEADER of the DIVERS SQUAD.
    b)In order to enhance the mission many hours have been spent to create a whole UNDERWATER CITY.
    c)This mission has low replayability. Once and if you manage to complete the mission successfully you might never play it again.
    d)When fighting underwater it is wise to always use HEADSHOTS and COVER so as to be far more effective.
    e)You should NOT disable AI UNITS. Disabling them might ruin the mission.
    f)If you do not have the ASR AI 3 mod, it would be great to install it. It really enhances gameplay and takes Arma 3 to a whole new level.
    g)Respawn: Instant

    Oh, I’d also love some missions where I play as a non-combatant. Anything with a decent story or atmosphere where the idea isn’t necessarily killing bad dudes (killing bad dudes at some point or even a lot is ok, I’d just like something a bit different than the norm if anyone has any recommendations or has made something). 

    Well if you are looking for missions who are backed with a story then you can check ours. Although I really am wondering how many people actually read the stories and not just play the missions directly :scratchchin:

  9. Hey guys,

     

    the searchilght can sadly not be moved. I have been trying to find a solution to this for months but no luck whatsoever. BI knows about the issue but they continue to ignore it for some reason. And pierremgi's post looks great but you can still not move the searchlight. Also it is open from the start and you cannot even close it. I do not understand why not a single script has been made to fix this issue. One that will just spawn a cool light source like in pierremgi's solution but that would also be movable and working.


  10. Had this question been more specific I would be able to help more but maybe what you are looking for is this:

    When clicking on a trigger there is a sub-menu where you can clarify if you want the condition to activate the trigger after x amount of time or if you want the condition to be true for a certain amount of time before the trigger is activated. 

    To find this just scroll over the different sub-menus. It is called Time Out or something like that. Cannot remember exactly.
