My problem with the squad.xml and scripts referring to the new UID not working is solved in so far as I used the wrong UID. The UID displayed in the player profile is not complete. The number is bigger than the UI allows to be seen. Still there is the missing URL field in the profile. -

While I am at it: The squad.xml is not working even it arma2oaprofile has been edited manually and the new UID put into the xml file. So - does 1.63 not read the path information at all? -

Regarding the UI and the squad.xml I have the problem that it does not work anymore even though the URL is stored in the .ArmA2OAProfile file and the squad.xml file has got the new UID. -

I am upset, really upset. To change so many things that are quite essential for running game servers (ports, UIDs, squad.xml paths etc.) without any documentation... leaves me just wondering. Can anybody tell me why it is no longer possible to insert the squad.xml path? Will that be fixed? Regarding the ports: I think I found out that the steamqueryport is game port + 1 (atleast when I changed that in my game servers config files the servers were listed in the game browser and visible for Gametracker again). -

Did you ever have a look at BattleWarden? At least you can manage your server from the outside, kick/ban/chat etc. You may be able to copy and paste your chat also, but I have never looked into that. -

I had the same problem. My solution: At the beginning of any of your server.cfg insert two lines steamport=xxxx; //xxxx being the particular game server port steamqueryport=xxx1; // xxx1 being the particular game server port plus 1 -

Fine, so instead of two servers I have only one now. I would like to know why the hack this has been changed in the last update. Stones instead of bread. People following BI on this path without losing their patience are qualified for the first manned mars mission. Twix is right. Got the same issue. I have two servers running using -server parameter. Only differences are: Different port, password. So one server is running normal, the other one has the problem which Twix describes. -

Hi! I am not sure if this is the right thread for my question but I am searching for a script to give clan members a particular rank in Evolution right from the start depending on the UID. Maybe someone has already done this successfully or got an idea how to do it. -
I am beginning to establish a new ArmA clan. The website can be found at interlegion.com. Another ArmA clan? Why that? Don´t we have enough of them already? First of all let me point out that ArmA is the most versatile tactic-shooter, as can be seen by the DayZ mod and others. It also seems to be the most realistic military simulation. I like to play the classic ArmA way, and I like to play “tactically†in the sense of playing in a team, using military procedures and so on. To do so a certain amount of regular teammates is required, so you basically need a clan. Awfully a typical clan has some disadvantages like obligatory attendance times, mandatory payments, elaborate rank systems and so on. The biggest disadvantage though is that most of those clans focused on realistical teamplay are using a whole lot of mods, especially ACE and ACRE. Whereas those mods can improve the degree of realism they have a lot of downsides also. The more mods are in use the more sources of error exist. I think most realism players know the situation that you are looking forward to playing and sit around setting up not only the server but the clients also over and over. Tools like Sixupdater are nice but don´t word reliably all the time either. For people like me with little spare time this is a pain in the ass and if you are looking for servers with more or less a vanilla installation you will find the ubiquitous domination and evolution missions. Therefore I have come to the conclusion to set up a clan of my own. If there is anybody who shares my point of view – “newbies†welcome – and would like to bring in their experience, expertise and ideas I would welcome them warmly. Hence this post. The required resources like root server, website and so on are available already. Please contact me if you like! Sawakodo
