  1. Does this addon support dynamic ai spawn ?

    Like EOS , spawn unit only when you're like 1000 m away and delete when your too far .

    it takes a different approach

    it will despawn all units except the group leader and rebuild them once you are in reach

    additionally, you can deactivate and activate zones, decativation means all units will get deleted, and then reactivating them means they will get respawned.


  2. I always get the information that the 2nd and 3rd part are damaged.

    1st issue: Data error in file: @A3MP\addons\A3MP_Roads2_Data.pbo

    2nd issue: CRC Checksumerror in file: @A3MP\addons\A3MP_Tree_Data.pbo

    anyone else got this? I tried several Downloadressources (many of those from the list arent hosting anymore by the way), I got the same issues everywhere.

    make sure that all parts are in the same folder and only open part one, it should work then.


  3. I posted my thoughts on this in the Arma 3 Karts DLC thread before I found this thread, but thanks Tonci87 for mirroring them here.

    I know that the LITE solution isn't perfect, so I'd like to develop an idea for BIS that compromises the visual fidelity concerns they have while still giving them a fair deal for their content. My solution given in my post still has the problems with the visual quality in LITE that BI was concerned about in their strategy reveal, does anyone have any suggestions for a better strategy?

    The first Step could be an automatically generated hintC (the one that is basically a pop-up window where you have to click "ok") explaining why some assets are poor quality. this could be done in a script wich autodetects if DLC content is present in the Mission and if the player has bought the DLC (so it doesn't pop-up on anybody). It could also have the Screename of the Assets with some samplepictures how they look on high-res. I think that would be a good start and show players what they are missing out by not buying the DLC, without trying to force them to by generating irritating paywalls and "on screen notifications" wich evolve in a full screen PP effect.


  4. same here, i really like the system it is very brilliant and unique, BIS rocks, but kart DLC.... 'cmon guys at BIS, really?

    it was initially an aprils fools joke that people then wanted in their game.

    and therefor it was a good oportunity to test the new DLC system and look for feedback.

    Imagine they'd have done it with the helicopters DLC. it could have been a giant shitstorm and would have caused more trouble than necessary.


  5. I seem to have AI spawn in enemy zones every now and then, it's random... I use "Enemy Contact" as a base setup, the weird thing is it also happened in A2! either some blufor units would spawn in opfor zone and visa versa, it's no real issue and the zones work as per normal, just curious if it happens to anyone else.

    No other mods or scripts.

    Never happened to me.


  6. I think the Link to the Github should be in the opening post, since SavageCDN is aiming to a Complete Editing resource for the DAC to make it easier and faster to use DAC with Mod-Units :)

  7. The main Problem here is multiplayer Locality.

    Addbackpackcargo is a local command. it gets executed where the unit is local, and only there. when you host the game, it is local on your machine and therefor you see the backpacks in the hunter. on your dedicated server, it is local to the server, but not to you, so only the server could see the content (wich is useless).

    same is for triggers. triggers don't get synchronized, therefor the condition must be true to all machines (i don't know much about using triggers with waypoints, though. i don't give waypoints to players)

    for the chopper thing... no idea.

  8. It seems like the Tourniquet make eternal blood stop so the character go to panic, it's ok if medic or other person treat that character with med-kit, i did only turn on the CBA and Xmedsys in empty stratis map and the result was this.

    but one thing problem is i re spawned the place where i died, not sure it's because happen server sync.

    i don't have any other revive script and only what i just did was respawn = "Base" in description.txt

    did you have a respawn marker?

    but when you disable the shadows from all lods, taking only the shadowlod where you don't model the halos, it should work.
