I'd agree with this, been having a lot of fun with this map. Love how flat the map is with just enough cover to get your head down. I also like the large compounds, very different. I did notice some of the AI would get stuck in compound walls once in a while, but they usually screw it up one way or the other anyway :p. Really looking forward to you updates. :cool: ps great vid twangydave -

I meant Awesome as in get in from work and have an update of one of my favorite mods to look forward too :) Unfortunately I haven't tried it yet :(, but the changelog looks promising indeed. ps I'm getting a boner when that Huron flies in for support/extraction.... I though the SOS comanche would be the best vehicle sound I'd ever heard in Arma.

Looking forward to trying the new update Eric great stuff! Regarding sfx, In no way would I be offended if you did want to replace them in future. I created (some of) them for my own library inspired by the U100 mod pack itself, so none of it's wasted :). But one of the things I like about this mod is the fact that people offer ideas/sfx/models....some of them get used for release some don't it's the Boss's decision at the end of the day. I'll always support this mod as it has a good mixture of weapons systems. Bullshit over where's that ACR. :cool:

I agree with this also. But on a positive note you've done a great job. Really like the cracks and pops reminds me of Restrepo :cool:. The movement sfx have vastly improved. The indoor debris sfx are very nice, certainly adds to the CQB experience. Great stuff :cool:.

Hi BP I think the 230mm impact/explosion is not playing?. Apologies if this a known bug, but i'm a lazy git :p. This is the only sound mod I will ever use from now on. I was talking to Stefan Strandberg the other day :p about the future of sound design and he mentioned Battlefield 5 will use this sound mod. Is this true?

Haha great stuff man ;). When I was doing my degree my dissertation was closely linked to the sound wars and new emerging HD audio platforms etc. Hopefully your mod will be so good it may become the new standard (no pressure). :cool: Look forward to seeing this progress and l'll give your wip a go give you some feedback etc. -

I'll try this out 2morrow thanks. I've always had a problem with trying to match other peoples/mods volume levels when working in Arma, to the point of limiting the hell out of a well mixed sound effect ruining the qualities/dynamics I liked the most. At the moment I'm pretty limited to what resources I have when creating weapon sounds. So this is very frustrating. One of the problems I would foresee creating a mod like your own is introducing another amplitude level standard for mod makers to follow. Third party mods like the HLC packs, CUP, RHM4's, MK18, Massi, EricJ.....will sound very loud in comparison to your own mod (probably as loud as your intended explosions/artillery?). Be prepared for a torrent of messages saying 'you weapons are too quiet' compared to X. But I'm quite honestly looking forward to giving my ears a rest :D I'm a great believer also of the dynamic range and hate the loudness war too. Why is it that realism has to be loud yet in reality you wear ear protection to reduce the SPL and top/mid sensitive end of the frequency range? I think we need to make the game louder if anything compress the shit out of everything and actually wear ear protection whilst playing Arma :p -

Wow Megagoth this sounds great. We're becoming spoiled for choice in Arma from an audio perspective. Didn't think I'd ever say that. SoSP, JSRS DF around the corner, Vanilla, and + LES... now this! Love that Katiba. I'd have to agree with most people about the 50 cal though. It doesn't have that raw power element associated such a large caliber weapon IMO, though it's consistent (at first listening) with sound level of the other weapons. The sonic cracks although mixed friendlier to the ear don't have that sense of urgency, that make you want to get your head down as fast. But sound is subjective and I haven't read a thread yet where people agree on everything. Or anything for that matter. :p -
I agree with Bolo for the type of rifle it is and it's SSR role, iron sight's seem a bit redundant.

Whilst taking a frisk out in a chopter I noticed the high pitch interior sound effect of the Comanche is far too sensitive around the upper mid frequency and becomes fatiguing on the ear. It got to the point of turning the volume so low to accommodate this sound effect that it ruined the immersion of the game. Your still not getting this mod back though BP as I love it too much ;) Thanks
