Not even a single new screenshot after months of work? Yeah right... Fact is the game was cancelled months ago but they won't admit it because it will scare off investors.
-
I'm afraid that is how things work. They are facing espionage charges, that means up to 20 years in prison. Game has been cancelled.
-
The entire game was canned as part of release agreement...

I already commented several days ago in another thread that Arma 3 has been cancelled, think I'm trolling, your wrong.
-
I can confirm that Arma 3 has been cancelled, sadly I'm not joking.

Here in Australia every shopping centre has at least one store full of PC/Xbox/PS3 games, maybe it's just an Aussie way of life but we love our game stores and prefer to buy games over the counter.

The Iranian government don't give a flying fuck about addons or a mission editor. In todays news they have been accused of shipping arms to Syria in violation of U.N sanctions and ignoring demands to open key nuclear facilities to U.N inspectors. Four Iranian nuclear scientists have been assassinated in the last four years, a fifth was targeted but escaped. My point is that shits getting real in that part of the world so it should come as no surprise that the Iranians don't want to be painted as the enemy by a company that sells military simulations to U.N members.

It would have been wiser to feature fictional forces on fictional Islands.

Multiplayer Balancing - Will Arma3's MP be balanced?

Haha yeah there are a few Ned Ryerson types here lol. EouKQBPkD-g -
Don't hold your breath mate, the development team has recently suffered a huge bodypunch and this will be a very serious setback.

Although remarkably plausible this artfully constructed fiction is put together by Italian-born artist Paolo Ventura using “action-man†dummies and minutely modeled sets. The first time I ever seen his artworks I thought they were real combat photographs. http://art-bunker.blogspot.com.au/2009/12/paolo-ventura-and-military-censorship.html

The guy narrating the 'WarZ scam' video is a buffoon. He claims that he doesn't want anyone who's stupid enough to buy WarZ to play DayZ, yet he's still doing his darndest to talk them out of buying WarZ. He sounds like he's going to cry. Retarded... -
Will Bohemia finally improve ARMA's PVP to attract New Players?
Madeon replied to LockDOwn's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Don't you watch war footage? Assault rifles, light machine guns, heavy machine guns, sniper rifles, shoulder-launched rockets, hand grenades, tanks and APC's are the most common weapons used for close quarters combat. PvP is the ideal mode for CQB in arma3 because humans players are far more adept at fighting at close quarters then the AI. -
Some really good footage here, the incoming rounds smacking into the walls are testament to how dangerous these urban brawls are, I'm surprised none of the troops are concerned about ricocheting bullets. Gei_D9dNiqk&feature=plcp

I agree too, every time I watch the world news someone is blindfiring around a corner or over a wall, this is especially useful when you know for sure that the enemy has a bead on you. Watch how these fighters avoid being obliterated by enemy soldiers firing RPG's at them from around the corner at 0:16 Eimtdn7hVYg I haven't played Red Orchastra 2 before but I like what I see in this video, I would like to be able to do this in Arma3 - ra2Yh8b0qyI

Yes this is so true. I'll test out the TPWC script tonight, it sounds really good.
-
Did you happen to record it froggy, I'd love to watch it because it's exactly the way I'd like the AI to behave in my missions.
-
That's unfortunate because the animation in the video you posted looks amazing, but oh well it's not something we absolutely need, arma 3's still going to be the best game ever.
-
Pop-up routines would be totally awesome, they would be perfect for when the AI is standing behind guard tower walls, or walls in villages, or behind windows.

Yes I'm interested! BTW I was looking at all the different animations on the Rocketbox Libraries website and none of them look anywhere near as good as the Arma3 animations, except for one. The one that I did like is called P01 run fast 01 out and can be found by scrolling through the animations list near the bottom of the page - http://www.rocketbox-libraries.com/index.php/cchd-combat-180-m.html What I like about that particular animation is that the man doesn't come to a sudden halt when he stops running, he sort of slows down then stops, and it looks really nice. Is it possible to do something like this for Arma3?
-
I noticed Rocketbox Libraries have 3d models and animations available for usage in simulations, games, etc. One of the animations is a soldier taking cover against a wall. I don't know whether or not it would be useful for arma 3. yqxq8FBaR-k&feature=plcp

Agreed. I think of DayZ as the Golden Goose, nurturing the Golden Goose is beneficial to Arma3's development.

I'm inclined to agree with those who would prefer muffled sounds instead of ear-ringing. Now normally I'd argue in favour of strict adherence to realism when it comes to sounds in arma - and I totally agree that ear-ringing is the most realistic option, however I don't think it's wise for people to unneccessarily put themselves at risk to hearing damage.
