    Make a copy of your config and put it safe on one side, then try changing and using these: 3D_Performance=93750; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1 localVRAM=2135339008; nonlocalVRAM=1877766144 Below that; these are personal pref AToc=6; PPAA=2; PPAA_Level=2 (with the PPAA’s set to above, in-game set AA to ‘Low’ should give you the effect of high to very high AA i.e. this) If it doesn’t work, put the original back.. Just how mine reads out at the mo..:)

    SUV Recolours

    White already exists in a mod, without looking at my hdd mod store, can’t recall, but I think its German Police Forces or something like that, not military. ____ Silver would be great. However, a lovely mod and thank you, it helps give realism to the game, modern vehicles parked around here and there..
  3. If your thinking of having multiple user names ingame then yes, this will mean the mssions made for that name will be in your ‘Arma 2 Other Profiles’ folder in your ‘Arma 2’ games folder. Missions for each user name will be in the user names folder. Not sure if that’s what you mean but that’s what I guessed you meant.. ---------- Post added at 21:13 ---------- Previous post was at 21:09 ---------- The menu shows up with a roll of the mouse wheel for me, then a right click to get rid of it..

  5. Short skirmish mission.. Using Beta 94444 and Ace, as before, just with a few more mods added (random mods) Still running fine, no air shooting even with smoke grenades deployed. Few shots of me the player being suppressed and others, no problems, ran great. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

CBA — Ace Acex Acex RU Ai mods used (these selected pbo’s) parts from SLX, GL4 & Zeus St Movement TPWC ai Suppress No problems at all… So it is conflicting with something I think, but not with these above, everything went really well in short mission, no problems at all.. Will do some more soon..
  7. Looking at it again, it seems to be the ai with grenade launcher weapons i.e. M16A4. They may be in grenade launching mode ? maybe worth a look..

Quick easy standard 'clear town' mission: here Opposing ’ai’ side was USSR standard small 5 man groups x 11, placed around town with no waypoints just synced to a ‘Defend’ module (GL4), i.e. they use their own initiative to take up positions in town, usually always in building on balconies or rooftops, wherever there is a good position and occasionally moving positions to other buildings etc. My side USMC standard infantry section (13man section) plus 3 man BAF squad (just to see if they did it as well, they did) I was a BAF unit. All ai apart from me. Multi ‘Move’ waypoints through the town to clear, on ‘combat’ setting, ‘open fire, fire at will’, other no changes. All set to 1.00 skill, both friendly and enemy in difficulty, and standard mid slider skill in the ’Editor’, playing Arrowhead inc baf/pmc so reinforcements 1.60 one of the latest Beta's 94444. I disabled your ballons, debug = 0.. Although it still does it with =1. The machine gunners didn’t do as ‘tadanobu’ i.e. killing friendly’s, everything as normal other than the sky thing. They don’t all fire into the sky, around 70% do, the rest are normal.. As said, ‘All ai’ on the map, apart from me, so ‘70 ai’ plus 1 me, 71. No civies.. They tend to do what you see occasionally when ai throw smoke grenades, they follow the grenades course with their weapon i.e. slowly dropping the weapon towards level position from skyward.. Map: Takistan. Town: Chardarakht. In-game settings = here Playing on ‘Veteran’ Playing 1920x1080. FXAA used in configs to beef up AA to VH effect, thats why the AA is set to low.. Ignore view distance in screen shot as I use ’IVD’ set at 2000vd in-game for ground assault. I have a lot of mods at work, but the principle two ai mods are SLX & GL4. I think its definitely a conflict with another mod, just which.. Going to do the same mission, with all other mods disabled.. Will post result.. Edit: yeah I think its a mod conflict somewhere.. Edit again: o.k maybe its not a mod issue unless its CBA. Anyhow, quick mission two opposing sides (standard infantry sections 23 men in total, I was one, rest ai) USMC v USSR, only mod CBA. The same thing happens, the sky thing. No other mods running. All settings as above concerning ai skill etc. I was a USMC rifleman.
  9. Yes, still getting the pointing to the sky thing. Apart from that I had street to street, building to building fire fights which are always good but made even better (even though they shot birds first) with your great mod. If you can conquer the sky thing it should be incorporated into A3 I reckon, hope BIS are watching and reading the thread. Suppression is slightly easier however they act a little more sencible in the fact they watch out for themselves first it seems. Flanking is even more important and I have seen ai from my own side flank while the ai are suppressed, happened before but not this good. Well done on a great mod. I use soo many mods it would be hard to tell which maybe conflicting, I will drop it right back to the basic ones and see if anything changes. CB

O.k. to me it all seems a little like paranoia, however, not knowing the circumstances, that perhaps an off the cuff remark of enjoying a flight around a certain island (which will remain nameless) would or could cause i.e. rumour mongering, although it was for another to ‘monger’, ‘Simon’ you little ‘mongerer’ you, I just commented, then I will not mention it again or any of your other projects. I know ‘mongerer’ is not a word but it seemed to fit a description. Maybe I should have said he ‘mongered’, ok Simon, you mongered... Back on topic: ‘Sands’ is a great island for practising your flying skills, undulating sand hills, its great. Now who made that one, ‘Sands’ is finished, well I think it is, although I don’t know, so don’t ask, pointless starting any rumours, as I don’t know anything regards islands made here or ……… nope, can’t finish, too busy rolling around on the floor laughing, thinking this whole thing is ridiculous, or very sad, not sure which… ‘Get Out More’ people..

    X-Ray Vision AI

    The debate over ai x ray vision, I can remember back in the ofp days, debating this in our group. I don’t believe now that the ai can see through things, as in real life people see things that you can’t, or take longer to see, its just one of those things. I think overall the ai are pretty good and don’t have the advantage that some players think they do.. Pretty fair across the board I reckon and well balanced, only from my experience playing the game and imo..

    Release as is.. Its an easy system either way, ‘don’t fix it if it ain’t broke’ as the saying goes, it ain’t broke.. unless you think it is..

I did a simple thing to separate missions for testing mods: Go into your arma 2 ‘other profile folder’ (where your user name is) and copy your user name folder ie my main username is 'ChrisB' so in the folder it shows as 'Chris%20B', I copied this so as to keep my menu settings etc, then just renamed it Chris%202, when you go into the game, if you go to player profiles your new profile will be seen. Its just a simple way, but you can then swap missions between folders i.e. ace, non ace etc and access the missions using any of your new user names. Just a quick simple thing, may not be any use to you, but it’s a way of separating missions but keeping settings..

    COWarMod Release

    That’s the great thing about your mod COWarMod, it gives players the chance to get straight in and use mods that they can be confident work together. Also separately, you give them mods that may or may not work together but an understanding that testing a little goes a long way. Possibly in the overall scheme of things your mod could stand as the most important mod to use for the players who like to play more and test little. I spend a great deal of time testing mods out and enjoy that side, but your mod would reduce that time for me, which will give me more time to test our group mods. One version would be enough and easier for you to keep at its pinnacle, rather than worrying regards running two, I would have thought. Anyway your decision.. Looking at the work from the snippet you put up, it looks to excel your usual great quality, so I am really looking forward to this mod and having a really long and in-depth look through. Great work, even more appreciated by the circumstances you had to put up with to make the mod, having read the topic through..
  21. I have all my mods stored on a 1TB HDD, so they are accessed from there, seems to work a treat, saves a lot of space on my a2 pc as I have around 400 mods or so inc islands (around 200 running inc islands, 150ish with the arma/ofp islands).
  22. My apologies, but I do love the island and wish it would be finished. Are you saving it for A3 ? Anyway sorry and I do like your mods, they shout quality, which I like, but there again most mods for the series have, and do, shout quality.. Oh and a forum is for comments :p

    I wouldn't think so, I have played IF with some self made missions, they seem to act very similar to the A2 ai. I can’t see that they would have spent much time altering the ai for IF, but I don’t play IF enough to test it out, no mods available as yet (or though not looked lately), so don’t play around with it too much.. In what way would you think they would modify the ai ?
