How to improve the Close Quarter Combat experience in Arma 3?
chrisb replied to Intezar's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
-
That's possibly worth a new re-install then prior to exchanging the disk, just to see. If you do re-install, make sure to remove everything Arma2 related including those folders in your 'Documents'..
-
The hpp goes in the SLX folder but not in the addons part of the SLX folder, if you understand what I mean. Move it back into the SLX folder itself and see if that helps..
-
No probs, will pop in later today, see if you got it sorted..:)
-
Apart from what I have put above, I've sort of run out of ideas..:( The game should make the folders really.. You watch though, it will be something simple:j: Look BoarFruff, its well past my bedtime here in the U.K. so I'm going to have to leave you to it. Gunter may be able to shed some light on it later, or someone else. Sorry we didn't get it working, but I'm sure it won't be long before your underway.. Best regards Chris

No the one's I listed should be in your 'Documents'.. Not sure why that is, could try making the folders in your documents and naming them as listed (exactly) case sensitive, spaces etc.. Must admit it looks as though Arrowhead has not gone in right, a full re-install maybe a consideration.
-
So in your Documents, In your documents you should have: Folders: Arma 2 Arma 2 config settings and help files Arma 2 Other Profiles BIS Core Engine BIS Core Engine Other Profiles
-
O.k the configs in the core engine folder, move those somewhere safe and try launch again.
-
Delete them and try to launch again.. or move them to somehwere else out of the way. The game will make new ones.. Don't do the Core engine ones leave them.
-
It is, have you got the other one I mentioned as well, go into that and see if you have a profile folder in there and then inside that another config for arma2oa.. Delete the config files!
-
Go into your 'documents' and look for the 'Arma 2' folder, go into the folder and see if you have a 'config file'. Its not in the programs it should be in your 'documents.. Do you also have another folder called ‘Arma2 Other Profiles’..? should be in your docs with the one above.

Looks like a ring to the supplier then. Still I’m sure it will get sorted, and now you have everything at your finger tips, mod, server, beta wise, so not a fully wasted effort..:):( Do you have DX9 installed ?
-
Have you left the OA disk in the drive, if not put it in and try six to launch A2OA again. Failing that I'm beat..
-
Go back to the blue box for the path, i.e. blue box menu, options then copy and paste the game path line into the mod path line. Also make sure the path is still the same. Its got me beat, I think it is the path, it does not seem to be able to find your game, do you run Win7, if so is the game in Program Files or Program Files (x86)?
-
O.k. try A2OA-Ace.. same thing to launch..
-
Great: O.k. lets try launch ‘A2 Any Vanilla’, at least: Right click ‘A2 Any Vanilla’ go to ‘updater actions’ at the bottom then ‘launch game’.. fingers crossed !
-
Good that's right, once finished: What’s in the left column now ? Is it showing A2OA or still just Arma2.. Note: the sync may take a while it will populate the mod side..
-
Right your looking at ‘six’ again, bottom left (very bottom) there is a box with the date in, click it to let it sync..
-
So game path = as I put above yes, click o.k
-
Should be: C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 thats if your drive is called 'C' of course..
-
So if the line is empty, go to the right and click the small box thing and enter it manually, i.e. just find the path.. Do you know how to do that ? Thats to the right of the line at the end of the line..
-
Open the blue box menu, as above go into options and a window will pop up, towards the bottom is an area that says 'Paths' there should be a path for 'Game' and also 'Mods'. They should read like your target line..
-
Right, at the top left of the program box just below the header is a small blue box with drop down menu, open it go into options and tell me what the 'path' says..
