    New Chernarus Perspective?

    Mm..From a zombie perspective?
  2. I guess, if they are "living things", then their digestive system somewhat works. This mean, that theirs pants and legs might be more dirty and so on... Also, whether they need drink of water or suffices them what receive from blood?

Beta isn't actually that far away

Why ruined Stratis pass just in stalker and wasteland mod, but not in war?

Beta isn't actually that far away

I guess is also some theoretical variants with more versions of ONE map. Rough example - would be two map of Stratis (It fits as well for the other official islands) . One is as current map of Stratis, with some additional stuff in the Houses. Practicable for tactical battles with no so many participants etc. Also useable for many different Life mods.. And would be also variant with ruined Stratis - many houses and interiors will be burned, the burned remains of furniture will lie on the street. Most doors will be beaten out and the windows would be broken. Less details, but more burned textures. Good for larger battles. imho.
  5. Something like this would be very appreciated in Arma, especially in mods about more wet climate zones..imho.

3rd person view and difficulty levels

I guess so too. And i suggest making even for regular 3rd view like here. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?149911-Deadfast-s-Third-Person-View-for-ARMA-3 And i favor to remove a crosshair at least from 'elite' completely.
  7. I advocate suggestion about adding digital watch (as selectable option). Exactly 24-hour digital watch, which would be useable on some circumstances. Something like this Also, if is possible, with working stopwatch.

Can play MP with Alpha Lite?

I guess, here might be some reasonable grounds. Would be interesting (and quickly widespread) variant, when all those who bought game, possess unlimited invites for friends and familiars in Steam. And all these invited players will be play also in multiplayer. But only on the server, which hosts their inviter. Until the full game. Though here might be tehnical problems. New server browser and really something, what don't allow all those kids get on other servers and to make other bad stuff, which are too terrible to describe. IMO.
  9. I guess too, that in-game benchmark would be appreciated. With predetermined scene (360 degree panorama or the role of the bystander in a little battle), with predetermined settings, except resolution of monitor and also directx, which will depend by videocard.

Black screen Arma 3 at game start up

But what version of graphic drivers? Also is always good to post own DxDiag, maybe someone will see there something unusual.
  11. Maybe also some underwater operations in/using rivers? Might be river as on Podagorsk map. Or larger, with more turbid water than in the sea, dangerous old nets, distracting garbage in river beds, enemy's searchlights from high bridges.. and so on.

    Caseless Ammo? Really?!

Caseless ammo is real. Though it passes through a long testing phases. And has a competitor - cased telescoped ammo. http://www.dtic.mil/ndia/2008Intl/Spiegel.pdf

    OPFOR too Futuristic?

Maybe yep, for this region they looks a little too futuristic. For such advancements OPFOR need to be much "bigger empire". And current OPFOR uniforme maybe seems more match for cypress marshes area, than under blazing Sun. But, probably, it is only visual discrepancy with the point of view from nowadays. However 20 years still 20 years, and without such advancements they can't attack Nato on Nato territory, imho. It is also necessary to distinguish one side from another visually. This isn't game with FF off.
  14. How i see in-game story, that seems that Turkey would be occupied or annexed by Iran (what seems less logical because Turkey is NATO member), or will become part of Iran after series of religious mutinies. That give for Iran some economic boost and also whole local arsenal. Now story looks a little more probable. And even is possible to use something from Turkey's aircrafts fleet.. But maybe something absolutely other? How about some 'flying wing'? Even tho nowadays these apparatus is mostly associated with stealth bombers, is also some evidences about their capability as fighter.
  15. Does anyone use this or similar controller or have at least tried? Or maybe at least heard about it from friends who tried it? http://www.emotiv.com/store/hardware/epoc-bci/epoc-neuroheadset/
  16. The highest difficulty. Is some similar themes, but I would like look at it from technical and some others aspects. At first about names. In my view is 'Elite' too pretentious. Even "Expert" was too.. Look. People come to game from many other shooters etc. And many of them was played years in first person view, without crosshairs, with highly moderated TS etc. And most of them will continue to play in own old preferences. That don't make them "elite" or "expert" in ArmA3. But will put them under a press - why your gameplay don't correspond in game to the status of "elite"? That might be only question of taste, but my suggestion is to make "veteran" as highest difficulty level. "Veteran" can be from many other wars, conflicts and so on. They might not be professional in current situation with new weapons and features. Heck, they might be simply 'old farts', who don't trust anybody, especially icons and markers. IMO, word "veteran" isn't so pretentious as "elite" or at least allow take it not so unambiguously. And if there really is needed difficulty level between "regular" and "veteran", that might be "adept". OK, it's only my unpretending opinion. At same time i guess would be good to encourage those "hard mode" people to play also on servers where is settings on lower difficulty. But how? Maybe by adding after the nickname some specific sign or letter in Deathmessage? It works beneficially to both side (even if hard mode player does not see deathmessage), but it's too long story. Now a little about technical aspects and problems.I guess we all agree, that highest difficulty mean disabling of all artificial "helpers" (though in the future soldiers can be even with Google+++ glasses, who knows..). Remain only gadgets "how it will be in the real future war." Logically only first person view and without crosshairs. Exist problem with "feeling of own stances" in 1st person view. That mean, until isn't possibility to have physical feedback about your in-game stance, is needed on-screen a kind of indicator. Especially now, with so many different stances. Also is problems with 'feeling' of fire mode of weapons, with adjustment of sight, counting cartridges in unattached magazine (as it is possible in IRL) etc. Calling it as "problems" I mean just playing in 1st person view on hard mode. Yes, some of them might be resolved as it is now on "veteran" level - temporary visible on HUD. Though i hope, is some way to implement alteranative solutions. Logically if devs have interest and resources to do this. Because we all know, that hard mode players is always minority.

  18. I hope that devs will remake somehow whole Chernarus, like here on map
  19. At first look it seems big step in right direction. I really liked 'feelings' of A3. At least in SP it runs better than A2 (for me). I haven't yet tried out MP, guess there might be some problems with FPS. But overall seems good. Now about grass. I am fan of old OFp, but.. I really hope, that Devs make something with visibility of grass on mid and long distance. I understand that this problem is big in whole game industry, but in military sim is this question more serious, than in all those fantasy RPG nd MMORP. Maybe is needed whole big separate team, to find epochal solution for grass/vegetation on mid and long distance? Again about one feeling. Seems that keyboard will inevitably be limited in order to convey whole palette of the movements and stances. Even the pedals do not give to much. Perhaps in ArmA is coming time for mind-reading game controllers.
  20. I agree that the shadows play a big role. But here's another factor. In real life people are well disguised when they lie far, not only because of a camouflage.. A role plays also that the surroundings are not static. Even in a light breeze something fluctuates, waves, in general moves, preventing to concentrate a look on one point (person). Now with connection with this, come to mind some old days in old Aces High. If you looked through a viewing slit of the tank or from the hatch, you saw shivery texture of the terrain. It could be glitch, due some circumstances, but thats not main point. Maybe is way to use some sort of feature of "shivery texture" on medium distance? Approximately at that tempo, what fluctuating trees on a wind? (Until we see in game "grass, visible to the horizon").

    Need Stance Indicator

Because i play mostly in first person view, i would be glad if such indicator would be seen. Logically with possible disabling in settings. Something such as a small simplified Stickman AND two letters under it.
  22. I suppose that stealing of boots and trousers of enemies would be very useful in some situations. Might even be allowed to wear the enemy jacket inside out (logically if this fit with mission). Though generally it seems problematic. I guess it might be also problems with civilians and its clothes. And about tehnical problems devs know better. But i guess, if we think about possible WWII theme MODs in Arma3 (some H&D remake etc), then i guess that removing of this feature completely, isn't good in perspective. imho.
