  1. Do what Niki says and you can be forgiven for buying a card other than nvidia. Tho if you do buy said other card, be warned, few will understand any problems you may find. Tho some of my best friends have amd cards, my eyes glaze over anytime they speak of them. Good Luck with your K series intel cpu.
  2. Dude ..., a painter doesn't need to make the brushes to paint the picture.
  3. It's a matter of 'work product' & 'Proprietary Rights', legalese. --even concepts fall into pervue. Bis owns a proprietary engine thru their work product. So one could say if they need a wheel, they do have to invent it as work product. To say, "every car has a gas pedal" ignores the unique linkage every pedal has to an engine by brand & company. It's not rocket science ..., or is it? Back to animations, I'd like to see the torso articulate better. For example, have the rifle snap to freelook view rather than view snapping back to the rifle. Have the torso/stance twist in a natural way for rifle to meet eyes. Or in prone position, have the torso roll on its back as it moves from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock, behind. I'd like to see each faction have its own gait. Where one could tell friend or foe by silhouette movement. Looking at recent change logs, Bis is still working on annimation details. Where it ends, i don't know. Tho it's a good guess that what Bis presented us with since beta release isn't too far from final. It's a good bet i'm gonna be going home with the girl i brought to the dance.
  4. The man has a point. I'd look at lowering 'object detail' for a test. Also wondering about your gfx card's driver. Has the driver ever been updated? Is it an old card with a new driver?
  5. DimasL, use the launcher..., connect to a server, then exit? Also run all the .exe as administrator can't hurt.
  6. "Do it like they do it in bf4!" --Can't see that conversation going down at an arma planning meeting.
  7. Because it is a process. A leads to B leads to C. For example, look how they did weapons resting --it could've been done many ways. It was done the arma way.
  8. No matter how bf, cs or puzzle pirates do things, they ain't arma devs working on arma 3. What matters is arma's ongoing development. And this development arc is built on the work already done, it's a process, a continum. So improvements will only be found within the minds of our dev team using the code they have built. Does anyone here really think another game's approach has any relevance to arma's work in progress? Not even possible given the existing code.
  9. "-useBE" works for me. As i remember, first time launched with the launcher, got the battleye pop-up, agreed to the tos, exited the game. Next time i added 'useBE' to the steam start-up line: -nosplash -nologs -noLauncher -useBE Haven't seen the battleye pop-up since.
  10. I still use this old mission called 'Proving Ground' by conKord: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?149086-Proving-Ground-for-ArmA-3&highlight=proving+ground His d/l link is still up: http://code.google.com/p/armaserp/downloads/detail?name=Proving_ground_a3_v2.zip It's at the Stratis airport.

    Squad XMLs Broke ?

Yeah, somewhere i read the 'new standard' has a character limit for text syntax. 64 character?..., forget. So try cropping the text down?

    "Arma 3 has stopped working"

What is "bassbox.dll"? Did a google search: https://www.google.ca/search?q=bassbox.dll&oq=bassbox.dll&aqs=chrome..69i57.3284j0j8&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8

Low CPU utilization & Low FPS

If you're in the 20s, 2-3 frame increase is 10-15%. Not bad for stuff you don't need. Now reduce object detail, view/object distance and you may see frames in the 30s. Low frame missions are the perfect place to ajust settings --because this is where it's needed the most. I use an old user-made armory mission. First time in, got 17fps..., now i get 32. It's where the rubber hits the road.
  14. Still, the weak cpu will struggle. I see the cpu will turbo to 2.9ghz on two cores, so it may be playable on some single-player missions. The editor will allow you to create small engagements. Multiplayer may be problematic, but with very low view & object distance settings, not impossible. Good Luck!
  15. Try lowering "Object Detail" to low. ---------- Post added at 08:51 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:49 AM ---------- Also, check your temps, may be running hot.
  16. Haven't seen a targets spinning in pvp, but if i do, i'll be sure to shoot him. A3 movement is a vast improvement over a2: Stance up/down; left/right, and now weapons resting. I also like the look of combat pace & run/sprint. I'm not seeing what you're seeing. Why would someone be spinning like a top anyway? And since you are comparing to other games, what other games?
  17. I don't play 3ed person, never got the attraction for looking at my avatar's back-sides. ..., just sayin'..., not that i have anything against that....
  18. You've got a3 right? Quick look at the server numbers shows 8 "BreakingPoint" servers on the first page & 6 "Epoch" servers: http://arma3.swec.se/server/list On a side note, talking smack will get you banned here too.
  19. For a 'Heavy weapons' team, there are the static launchers --tripod, launcher in two back-packs. Four rounds, big weight penalty on the launcher back-pack. The single infantry loaded with one in the tube and four in the pack is just wrong. Mission makers ought not to overlook the role of light infantry when deciding on loadouts.
  20. Intergrated graphics chip & a weak cpu. Minimum specs will start the game. I don't think it will run at all well.
  21. One round, throw away.
  22. Better place to ask is a overclocking forum. They can size-up the mobo. Tho i would say T1 is tight setting and much more stable. I see a 'failure to post' in your future. If you don't know what that is, an overclocking forum is the place to go.
  23. Try running as administrator?
  24. Well, not sure it's related to memory anyway. Dropped connection sounds like network packet-loss thingy.
  25. 3.7ghz is in the sweet zone for sure..., least for intels that is;)
