Guys are you all kidding me ? Why are you discussing Trackir ? I have Trackir but the Oculus Rift is a whole different deal. Its a revolution. You can turn your head or body 360° , up and down and you are immersed with 3D Stereoperspective and a FOV of 90° in the virtual world. You can sense scale. You can sense fast motions. You can sense that someobdy or something is really infront of you , if you walk close enough infront of it. You are much more immersed and have much stronger emotional and intuitive reactions because of the 3D , Headtracking and the aspect of isolation from the outer world . You are not in your room at home , you are in the middle of a battle fighting for your life. It is what the military using VBS2 2.0 , is using. They use their own VR systems but none , even these that costs thousands of dollars, match the advancements of the Oculus Rift. Now before you discuss anything further please watch these videos and then we can talk more : The perception of fast motions trick people into believing they really ride a rollercoaster , great reactions ensue http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrK2rbHyY_w Looking down deep falls , makes the viewer feel the urge to step away , falling into a portal in Portal 2 and flying to the other end of the room makes the person feel like flying Combined with the Razer Hydra the experience in Half Life 2 becomes immensly immersive and the movements and handling of the weapon become so natural you can even use your hydra controllers to aim down the sights with 1:1 hand movement Using a Razer Hydra Demo in the Unity Engine , it is possible to use Firearms in an even more natural way and bringing the best way iv´e seen using weapons in a virtual envoirment Flying in helicopters , drving cars or being in any other envoirment in a cockpit using the Oculus Rift enhances your Experience and even your effectiveness immensly So Bohemia Interactive if you read this please try to implement Oculus Rift support for ARMA3 . Headtracking won´t be an issue since you already can use TrackIR. But you need to create a 3D Stereoscopic mode which geniunly creates two images from the same scene from two slightly different positions. I would be so grateful if you could even try to attempt to implement Razer Hydra support and make the handling of the weapons similar to the Unity Demo i linked.

Is ASR_AI mod for ARMA 3 available yet? Please Robalo , i love your work , one of the most important mods in ARMA , please throw us a bone and release your current version for ARMA 3.

If a modder is able to mod the AI on the fly and deliver a good artificial intelligence that works in almost all missions flawlessly , why couldn´t Bohemia do it ? I don´t care how much work Bohemia needs to make the AI at least as good as the ASR AI Mod , if they ignore this and don´t take initiative they will have a worse game and disappoint us and especially the games journalists. I foresee if they don´t make the AI better they will never get a 80%+ review.

Actually i would say : Use easier fligt model and one button to start and have the aircraft in the air for - RECRUIT,REGULAR And use HTR as realistic flight model as possible , with every button of the aircraft needed to press in the correct order to start the vehicle and engage targets for - VETERAN,EXPERT So all in all make it like this so all the kids dont´t whine who are incapable of handling complex flight simulation RECRUIT, REGULAR = ArmA 2 Flightmodel with one button to start the engine VETERAN, EXPERT = X-Plane 10 Flightmodel with comlexity of buttons/switches of DCS: Black Shark/A-10 -

Couldn´t you create knobs and switches with this , which you can use in first person mode ? Like in TOH ? To interact with MFD´s or starting the aircraft manually ? -

Thank you , thank you , thank you Gnat for all your efforts creating the first available plane for ARMA 3 ! I would appreciate it greatly, if you could think about adding following things , in future versions : - Working Instruments - Flightrudder Handanimation - Turning on specifc lights - Manual Engine starting - Key(Starting), Knobs and Switch -Animations when using their functions - As realistic flight model as possible - Various damage models - Ingame GPS Display in the Garmin GPS display of the Cessna - Remove HUD - Higher textures of the interior - Airdynamics sound(When gliding without turned on engine for example) - Giving control to Co-Pilot Thank you again Gnat for all your hard work ! -
I agree to implement such feature , especially because it would just open up many more possibilities for Mission and mod makers. If such melee feature would be implmented from the begining there would be no need to create a half-assed and bugged melee system like it is to find in the DayZ-Mod.

Please adjust the volumes according to their distances . Right now it is too wrong. It was mixed down perfectly in ArmA 2 ACRE , but the volumes in the ARMA 3 ACRE are sometimes too loud, somtimes too silent(helicopter) and you cant differiantiate enough. -

Awesome ! I can help you out with anythng that is related to german terrain , voice over, buildings , writings , since im german ! Just PM me ! I would love to see , realistic terrains based on photography of that time . I would love to see high detailed weapon models and real life sounds . Please create a full campaign for it !

Instead of just playing the ArmA 3 Alpha i tried to look for severe bugs , as we all should and found following things : Graphical Bugs: - Lights+Instrument Lights of the Civilian Pickup-truck aren´t working properly : - Holosight is blue when you look at the lights of the civilian pick up truck : - Bullet Casings don´t stay on the ground Sound Bugs: - The Sound of the envoirement is muted when you sit in a car/ATV/Little bird !!! - No splint animation and sound when throwing grenade - No noises when walking on stone or stone sidewalk - No sound when grenades hit obstacles - No sound when Smokegrenades ignites and releases smoke Gameplay Bugs: - The Flood light at the stratis airbase doesn´t brake when you shoot it - Window in stratis airfield ATC tower doesn´t break when you shoot it - window of beachhouse in girna doesn´t break when you shoot it - This pole in Girna has no collision : [img ]http://www.tinyuploads.com/images/DG1zVI.jpg[/img]>100kb

I can´t believe BIS changed the realistic wheel tuning to this arcade racer style system. Can´t BIS not at least add the option to choose to drive vehicles with 900° wheel turning ,like in ARMA 2 ?

Our only hope is that Robalo creates his ASR_AI-Mod for ArmA 3 and that Bohemia could finally contact him directly and implement his works into ArmA 3. That is the only way i could see the AI improving.

I propose setting up a Teamspeak 3 Server or at least agreeing to join a sepcifc teamspeak 3 server. We should then have a group discussion and then decide on how to proceed.
